Breaking News: Obama to make a statement regarding National security (bin Laden dead)

I hope you realize that a widespread number of news affiliates and anchors consistently said "Obama bin Laden" or "President Osama". You don't even have to look further than our local news. They said it numerous times and it DID NOT matter what station it was.

As for Obama getting the credit for Osama's death, please don't discredit our military like that. It is our military's victory. It would've happened no matter who our commander-in-chief was.

 

Obama is the one who made catching OBL a top priority again.

Obama is the one who called the play.

It's ok to give the coach credit.

 

Everyone needs to be happy he was dealt with, no matter who made the final call.

Conservatives need to stop saying "They better not give Barack all the credit."

Liberals need to stop saying "Fox News said "Obama" instead of "Osama." Wah, wah, wha." Of the thousands and thousands of news portals reporting this, someone was going to make a typo. Looks like a bunch were made.

 

I'd say that Obama deserves about as much credit as any President does for something they simply orchestrate tactically. What do you want, the guy to go over there like Dog the Bounty Hunter and ask for the neighbors help?

The president deserves the credit. He made the final call. He would have gotten his ass handed to him if the mission failed. He's the head honcho in this scenario and praise/blame starts with him and then filters its way down.

 

I guess you couldn't understand what I'm saying. Do I really have to spell out that "those separately responsible for these separate incidents...".. where in my post did I say there was one person or group responsible for this?

 

Yeah I think this is overblown. Even the late Ted Kennedy who was one of Obama's early supporters and one of his biggest made that mistake.

well...the npr guys *are* getting their funding cut...so I suppose that's justice. But I still think it's a little judgmental to assume they're nothing but bigots and that deep down they still equate Osama and Obama.

Anyway... good on the Pres. (that would be Obama) and the folks who made this come about.

 

you're right I take that back.. but for this important of story they would have at least double checked their tickers or graphics and if not they will need to be at least reprimanded or suspended..

There something that doesn't make sense. They kill the guy. Identify him through DNA, facial recognition and ect... and bury him immediately at sea in less than 24hrs???
