Nice mix batkins, I've always liked JR's game... when his on fire.. I've seen plenty of stat lines where his gone 0/9 from down town or something equally horrific (Off the top of my head I recall George Karl mentioning limiting his minutes due to him having a +/- of (-20) on one night). Dude has no conscious and can really take over games when his hot. Insane athleticism, great shooter and has all the right tools to be a great player. His major hindrance is his low basketball IQ (takes horribly low % shots more often than not). Haven't seen enough of him to know what his like defensively but have assumed his defensive prowess is nothing to write home about. Would be interesting to see a team in desperate need of a SG pick him up in the offseason. With a defensive minded coach to pull his head in and get him to play within a system which is why I hope to see him in a Bulls uniform next year. (Although his 100x flashier than Kmart, Kmart's lightyears better as a basketball player).
Nice Mix. He would shine if he got to start next to a great play making PG like CP3 or Deron. I woudnt mind seeing him next to Nash either.
What's crazy is he was traded FROM CP3 for nothing... I would LOVE to see what this guy would do If he was unleashed. Deal Martin, Sign JR?
Thanks for all the comments! Always appreciated. He's going to be a FA this offseason and has already has it's a "strong possibility" he doesn't return. Hopefully he can be the main 2-guard wherever he goes. New Jersey?
My favorite non-Rocket in the league, and that's the best JR mix I've ever seen, hands down. Flat-out baller with explosive bounce and unlimited range, and he's got numerous ties to this city. He's been thrashing fools at Fonde for years, and would be a monster in the open floor with Lowry.
JR Smith is like Von Wafer. Skilled, but plays with the patience and intelligence of a child. (And JR Smith is much, much more skilled than Von, but you see what I'm getting at.)
