That's odd. Mine works just fine everytime I hit the circle.
Try signing in again after you reach that log in screen, and then hit circle after it tells you theres maintence.

I've been able to watch Netflix during the outage, I just hit circle after the failed login attempt like The Hunted mentioned. I don't see why they would send you a refund since there isn't a problem with the Netflix service.

    It's Konami.

Some people don't believe us that our Netflix doesn't work and yes we should get refunds. I'm just wondering know how long until the network comes back online.

This could deserve a new thread, but Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) is having their own problems:

Can SOE do anything right? No wonder the gaming division usually tried to distance themselves.

Yeah that's it, when I see the maintenance/error message I just look and stare at my TV, press no buttons and turn off the PS3. I've tried everything and it still doesn't work period.

I searched google and apparently other select people are having the same issues Hak34 and I are having and Netflix is blaming Sony for the problem. Go figure.

Nah, there's definitely a bug or something happening for some people. My netflix was working as stated in this post for a number weeks after the initial hack/event/whatever you want to call it. As of maybe 3 weeks ago something changed and the old circle/relog work around stopped functioning. I think it's part of netflix itself. maybe different versions out there or something, but instead of the normal PSN pop up login you get a grey box informing you that you have to connect in order to continue. You can view all the netflix content, but as soon as you try to stream any content you get blocked by this other window. It sucks, but hopefully it will all be fixed soon enough.

Someone pulled a $320 transaction from Bulgaria with the card I had on my playstation account. It must be related.

So the Bulgarian's were behind this?

Pretty pathetic how they STILL HAVE NOT FIGURED OUT HOW TO FIX THESE ISSUES!

A multi-billion dollar company should not have an outage like this PERIOD. Talk about horrible customer service. The sad thing is I don't even play games on PS3 anymore, I just use it for Netflix now. I may have to go buy a blu-ray Netflix player.

When PS4 comes out i'll have to think twice before purchasing one.

I'm pretty sure they've figured out how to fix the issue.

But when you're doing things like physically moving your data center, going to take a little while to roll everything out (especially since you'll want to make sure everything is secure). Shouldn't have happened in the first place (although things were a bit more complicated than I originally expected), and Sony has done a horrible job with PR (don't think they've even said why PSN is still down, even though it was supposed to be partly up by now). Since it did happen though, I'd want them to take their time to fix all these issues before putting PSN back online.

(although the Netflix issue should probably be fixed. Not sure what the issue is with that. Patch servers have been up pretty much the whole time I think, so clearly some thing can work fine with PSN).

Am I the only one who has had a suspicious charge on my card? Anybody else?

    I haven't noticed anything unusual.

If Sony is to be believed, then your issue is probably not directly related to the PSN attack.

Unless your CC was also tied to SOE's databases (I think hackers did take those?).

It's back up. Download the new firmware and change your PSN password.
