This is one of those times where you really hope there is, in fact, a God. Who knows if it's true, who knows if the reasons are any good, but the guy had to go. I hope this has a positive impact on the overall situation rather than negative of course.
Congratulations, once again you get the award for "weirdo post of the day". Anyway, looks like he was hiding near the biggest military academy of Pakistan, in an area where a lot of Pakistani generals live. Seems like he got protection from the highest circles there...
I'm glad he was caught, but I don't get the wild celebrations on the street in the USA. These are the same people who got upset when Palestinians were popping fireworks after 9/11 in celebration.
Pretty sure they don't want to have the place where he is buried become a place of pilgrimage for people who think he was a martyr.
But if they really wanted that they could turn anything into a shrine to him. Such as place of birth, death, random cave. I understand that might have been the case but I don't think it stops anything. If anything it opens the doors for all the conspiracy guys to go crazy.
They're not the same, but it is disconcerting to see the "America, ***** yeah." crowd come out in jubilation on the streets in places like Ground Zero to celebrate a man's death. Granted, he was a bad guy, but you would expect more composure and dignity from us. Anyone who has read Lord of the Flies knows what I'm referring to.
Wouldve been happier if he was caught and trailed but that wouldve caused more danger and extermist wouldve gone crazy all over the world
Hell yes!!! Osama was a douchebag and now he is dead!!! Hell yes!!! <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/3GwjfUFyY6M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yeah!! Let's have the global war on terror forever. Sucks for the lower 98%; sweet for the military industrial complex. Getting Bin Laden can just be the beginning. Same with Al Qaeda number two and all the eventual threes.
Think about how insane this is. An ideological and political conflict involving repurposed passenger jets, space borne surveillance and the most powerful military in the history of the human race boiled down to an American and his rifle.
I congratulate our troops for a successful mission and admit this is a big win for the Obama administration. With that being said, I understand they did not want to create a shrine yet it seems odd they moved to dispose of the body so quickly.
