    Abbottabad is part of the NWFP (now called the Khyber-Pakhtunkha Province), and is about 3 hours north of Islamabad by road. I've never been, but I've heard from my parents that it's a really beautiful city.

    Honestly, I'm skeptical about this. There were reports a few years back that he had died in November 2001 due to complications stemming from diabetes and kidney disease.

    I can understand skepticism, but it sounds like they delayed announcing this until they were 100%, DNA-tested, no-way-we-can-f**k-this-up certain.

    True but DNA taken directly from Bin Laden's corpse is just a bit more conclusive than "gossip". ;)
