Normally, one should not celebrate a person's death. That being said. Spoiler Apparently killed near Islamabad, Pakistan.
I don't believe in capital punishment, but I sure am glad to hear that piece of crap is dead. Have fun in hell!
I think some people very high up in Pakistan must have been protecting him. And we will unfortunately probably see some major terror attacks very soon, as the remaining Al Quaida people will try to prove they still are able to strike. I also think Twitter will explode today...
Good news! With Bin Laden's death Obama has been given a chance to withdraw and help our economy. With Bin Laden dead and Al Qaeda made irrelevant by the Arab Spring it is not necessary to occupy Afghanistan any longer. We don't need to occupy Middle Eastern Countries to fight the remenants of Al Qaeda. Time to focus on the forgotten 98% of Americans. Time to stop wasting American lives over there. It will be really instructive of Obama's priorities.
Lara Logan just made a great point, good to see her back on the air. She said, "You have to get him (Osama Bin Ladin) to win but getting him doesn't mean you have won." As I noted in the other thread I doubt this changes things. Afghanistan switched awhile ago from actually fighting Al Qaeda to trying to create an Afghanistan that doesn't fall into Taliban hands again. Bin Ladin has been a figure head for years and not actually involved in the fight.
All of that said above. I find it very suspicious that he may have been killed just outside of Islamabad and if true shows some serious problems with Pakistan.
