Anybody else think Doc really messed up keeping Rondo out with 3 fouls? The Celts have no hope of keeping up with Miami without Rondo on the floor and playing well. This is why they are down 15. Miami blows leads but if they start strong in the 2nd half, this game could be over early.
Going back to last year's playoff, he was ripping a new hole in them, now you add Lebron James and Chris Bosh next to him. He's going to have 26+ ppg and over 50% shooting against them for the series, easily.
thing is wade struggled mightily vs boston in the reg season, primarily b/c he didn't trust his J so he was out of control. today he made his first 2 jumpshots so it really put him at ease i thought. but wade is not going to be on fire like this all series. they need bosh to at least do something
It's simple. In the playoffs, give Wade the ball and get out of the way. He has a ring to show for it.
after wade's 9-11 shooting, the next most important stat might be lebron and wade with 1 combined turnover. i think they averaged 10.3 turnovers in the 4 regular season games.
It also helps having Lebron taking 2-3 defenders to defend him, that free's up Wade. Wade must be loving this...
big halftime lead, miami takes all jump shots to start the 2nd half? where have i seen that before. bosh also with the weakest foul in history to allow an and-1.
just shoot ilgauskas and end it. he hasn't done anything that wasn't horrible in this game. and spoelstra takes too long to call a timeout after a run to start the 2nd half once again. can't believe lebron didn't pay attention to pierce on that one 3. he just kept sagging in more and more like he was daring rondo to make the pass and eventually he did.
they settle for jumpshots when they have a big lead. they get too comfortable and starts to play pretty. lebron and wade have each taken a tough shot fading away from the basket on the baseline. jesus
Rondo get's "owned" so much by Bibby the Celts are now down only 9. The only thing Bibby "owns" are his shoes.
