Wow big win for Memphis. Surprising would be an understatement.

but the thing is durant didn't even try to drive tonight. he put no pressure on his defender. all he did basically was uses screens and shoots long jumpers. that's not how you win playoff basketball games. but he's a great jumpshooter so he'll get his points.

see how he played vs the nuggets? he drove and drove (not all the way to the rim) but he put pressure on his defender and rotations of the defense.

I'd hold off on that comparison. KD is so much better at 22 than Dirk was it isn't funny. I doubt you say that in 3-4 years.

+1. that's why i will never put him in the kobe/lebron/wade category. if he doesn't get that next year, he will never get it.

get what you say: ability to get the ball and make plays for you and your teammates.

i don't think he means to say he's the same caliber as dirk, but how they play the game. both don' really dictate the tempo/pace all the time as a superstar should.

the grizz didn't even double KD today and he still settled for mostly jumpshots.

Its not the skills or talent I'm comparing. It's the attitude. The personality

OKC needs another big man and a third scorer.

Outside the defensive post, Perk is absolutely useless.

When the grizzlies win at home we play this song. In honor of the tradition:

They haven't got a chance when they get to the grindhouse.

There is a huge difference between Zach,Gasol vs Nene and Martin. The Thunder will have to come up with adjustments vs these 2 players. A tall order indeed.

Gasol is so physical. He makes Perkins seem like an average center in terms of physicality.

When WB goes into "hero" mode, this is what happens. I've seen this before many times during the season. WB has the ability to get his teammates involved and set them up and is spectacular when he does.

Yeah but he and his teammates were busy watching Westbrook Iso at the top of the lane and drive for most of the game. I think he and everyone else just got lost in the game and it's hard to switch your mentality in the middle of the game (which is why Westbrook kept trying and trying to score) I'm saying his decision making was bad and you'll hardly ever see this type of game from Paul or even Rose now. Rose will attack when nothing else is happening and the possession is a lost cause and even then he's always aware of open guys.

    The thunder
They'll look at this game and do things differently.

as for the Grizzlies they had a great game...I still think OKC will win, better team always wins in a 7 game series and I feel like Durant and others just got lost in the flow of the game because Westbrook was determined to win that game. They just need to go back to running a offense.

Durant just trusts his teammates a lot. He doesn't really seem to have a problem with other guys taking over the team.

Is Sam Young really starting for them?

They're going to need to start Battier in this series, there's no way in hell Sam Young can guard Durant!

If that is the case, you are even more wrong. Their personalities are VERY different from each other.

Game 5 happened 4 days ago. KD is 22.

Did we overrate Perkins for his man to man defense? I mean he known for shutting down Dwight over the years but Dwight offensive game wasn't as good until this year. The Center position is known to be a very weak position these days.

Perkins is not fully recovered from surgery yet. Even so, Marc Gasol is a load to deal with.

Sam Young isn't even guarding Durant and they don't need Battier to start. Why change when what they have been doing is working?

ZBo and Marc Gasol are right up there with Pau and Bynum for the best front line in the league right now.
