no one says he is perfect. he's still only 22 and this is his "first" year as a legit star player. he'll learn from these mistakes and will be a much better player.

if you watch the ENTIRE game, you'll see that KD has been too passive. how many inside buckets has he had to put pressure on the grizz big men?

again, to beat memphis, you have to get these big men in foul trouble. but all the thunder are doing is shoot jumpshots.

again, they could tell westbrook to tone it down and pass to his teammates. but those are going to result in more jumpshots, which is not going to beat memphis.

this is why i harp on this with KD: develop your playmaking game. in cases like this, the ball should be in his hands to create. but he is mediocre at it.

if all the Thunder are shooting jumpshots, I can't imagine how many more free throws they're going to get when they start driving it in more...I mean they already have twice as many as the Grizzlies, just by shooting jumpshots.

westbrook's fault is: he has missed a TON of easy shots today. he makes those and it's a different ballgame.

but you cannot fault him for his style of play today. the thunder needed his aggression.

Westbrook's play literally reminds me exactly of steve francis. Turnover machine, hog the ball, dribble down the clock, calling his own number all the time.

Unacceptable play from a so-called PG.

On the subject of finishing, one area Westbrook isn't close to Derrick Rose is finishing at the rim.

The announcers just said WB has hit only 3 of his last 16 shots. t_mac1, if that isn't pathetic, tell me what is?

I've been watching the entire game and while you may be right that his passing may lead to more jumpshots...he has to trust his teammates that they will do the right thing with the ball.

As for Durant being passive, he's not the type of guy like Kobe or Melo. He scores off of jumpshots thats what he does. Thats what gets his entire game flowing but when Westbrook is taking pretty much every time he's going to get lost in the flow of the game similar to Dirk.

I'm starting to think Durant is a black Dirk.

1.No leadership when they need it.
2.Doesn't demand the ball to create on his own
3.Gets comfortable with the jump shot when he can post up against his counterpart.

he's missing "easy" shots. i think frustration set it for him b/c he has missed so many easy shots. they're all around the rim. if he makes half of those, he'll have 30+ points. the last one he missed was a gimme.

but what you want? more jumpshots? the grizz will gladly love the ball to be in KD's or harden's hands "creating."

what i do fault westbrook is he's too aggressive at times and missing those gimmes around the rim. i dont' fault his play at all. he was the only thunder who had balls to go at the grizz' big men. the rest of his teammates tried to play "pretty"
