Has anyone tried VEVO with the iPad2 and AirPlay? Pretty nice, I think. It's been crashing on me a bit, but once this works consistently, you can put together your personalized playlists and watch it on your home theater and basically use the iPad like a remote control. Also, I tried to get Hulu Plus to work from the iPad with AirPlay (there was a workaround described on the net where you would start YouTube with AirPlay and then start Hulu and it would "continue" the AirPlay thing although you are now in another app, but that doesn't seem to work anymore. Once they make it so that you can stream anything to Apple TV (especially also Safari = NBA League Pass), it will be really nice.
Im assuming that you're talking about the appletv2. May be possible with jailbreak apps. Appletv1- may be possible with boxee.
I use the iPad 1 and a hacked appleTV (atv firecore) and it's fantastic. Before my iMac broke I used it as a music player. I want to try air tunes for some speakers in the patio.
Just wondering what you need it for? Games? By the way, I downloaded (bought) NBA Jam for the iPad. I don't understand the controls yet, but it brings back memories of playing that game in the basement of the place on UH campus...forgot the name.
air tunes and powered speakers on the patio rocks with an iphone remote. That said, appletv does the same thing and I think it's just as cheap but would include access to your video library as well as netflix.
By the way, with Airplay mirroring, one can now watch hulu plus on the TV. <object width="640" height="360"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hzM1Xfb65Bs?version=3&hl=en_US&hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hzM1Xfb65Bs?version=3&hl=en_US&hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> (To answer my own question I asked in this thread.)
Within the coming year and beyond Flash Mobile is going to be obsolete. HTML 5 is going to be taking over and it's pretty evident because I believe Adobe already said it's calling Flash for mobile devices like android etc dead and done.
