Yeah it's been a pretty weak fight, GSP has had his impact moments of excitement, Shields just keeps falling and backing up....not much of a fight. Shields has looked like a stuff mummy while GSP runs around mobile, agile, loose and just more active.
omg GSP is making everything boring, wow i'm so disappointed, Matt Serra knocked the soul out of georges
You know you are an embarrassment when your hometown boos your ass You know you are an embarrassment when Jake Shields is calling you on standing up F U GSP, ruined what could've been one of the best events in UFC
Shields didn't belong in there with GSP -but GSP should have KO'd him -- I agree on the lack of killer instinct.
gsp with what seemingly has become and all too familiar usual decisive victory via decision. I was impressed with how he totally shut down Shields takedown game, but if he does fight Anderson Silva, he's going to get annihilated.
Ugh. What a crap fight. I think GSP spent more than half the fight nursing his eye/nose. Plus Shields wasn't given him any reason to really "fight". Wow, that scorecard was closer than I imagined it would be, must've given Shields points for the bloody eye/nose. Would LOVE to see Silva vs. GSP. Side note: Is the ref for this fight (ive seen him ref other fights before) the guy from "The Wire" ? Season 4+5? The boxing guy?
He was being cautious and couldn't see out of his left eye and still Shields couldn't do a damn thing..
UFC 136 in Houston! http://mmajunkie.com/news/23436/ufc...event-in-houston-ufc-fan-expo-to-coincide.mma maybe. dave2000 showed me the link.
Can't wait -- main event is slated to be Cain Velasquez v. winner of JDS/Lesnar. Ideal location considering Cain's rabid Latino fanbase.
