They should draft Clay Matthews brother if he still around in the 5th round. They been hyping him up some.

Good night Irene. We're starting to look like Monsters of the Midway up front. This guy stacked up with Cushing. Watts and Mario up front. This could get crazy.

I'd say that about the Lions.

We're going to be a load better, but still a few questions:
Can Mitchell/Cody hold serve at nose
Are they going to find a good way to rotate Smith-Watt-Mario or will one of them go to waste?
    Can Ryans get back
    Can Barwin transition

Are you kidding? The guy was mocked pre-draft by most between 18 and 32. It's actually a great value pick. This guy has potential to fill our pass rushing need better than Aldon Smith. I think he will end up being the better player.

Our draft the first two days has been great.

All we need now is another corner or safety and a wide receiver.

Is nobody talking about Smith or Watt playing nose? All three of our ends are around 295, which is about where Phillips likes his nose to be.

I think Antonio plays nose on rushing downs, and Watt plays nose on passing downs, or vice versa.

The coaches have already said that Watt will get time at the nose, at least on passing downs:

In other situations, according to coach Herring and Phillips, they are gonna give Williams time at OLB in addition to DE. Both Wade and Herring talked about the Watt pick giving them the ability to move Williams around a lot.

I imagine they are gonna run a front seven of Wiliams, Watt, and Smith with Brooks and Barwin outside and Ryans and Cushing in the middle, every once in a while. That would be a good late game group to run at opposing lines. Just that so much hinges on both Ryans and Barwin making it back from their injuries.

Look, I love the guy. I mean, i am a wildcat homer afterall.

i never really looked at the premock after the texans 11 pick. I was just surprised he was rated that high. Having watched 7 or 8 Arizona games he was always making plays and was certainly the leader of our defense but i was always concerned about his athleticism at the next level. I was surprised by his combine results.

I can see why you might be concerned about his athleticism when moving side to side. He seems to have stiff hips in those situations. That's obviously not his game though. He's a pure, 3-4 pass rushing OLB. Watt being up front to stop the run and move the pocket will free up linebackers, and why not get the one with the best straightline speed/initial burst combo in the draft? Other than Von Miller, there wasn't another OLB in the draft that fit the bill better.

I like how the interviewer was trying to help the guy out.

Interviewer: "Well I know one QB in the AFC Central that you'll have to get after"
    Reed: "Hehe yeah"
Interviewer: "Let me give you a hint... he plays for the Indianapolis Colts...."
    Reed: giggles
Interviewer: "You're going to have to play him twice per year, what's it going to be like getting after him?"
Reed: "I like getting after quarterbacks....derp derp!"

I don't care if he makes VY sound like Oscar Wilde if he puts Peyton Manning on the turf a few times a year.

He may not be as smart as Amobi Okoye, but let's hope he plays a lot better.
