this guy is on radio shows with this information accross the country, not just a youtube video.

But doesn't he have a CLEAR point? Obama agreed to terms on what the requirements are to be president, and yet on his birth certificate that was released he himself does NOT meet the requirements in which he agreed upon.:grin:

    Birthers FTW!

No, because what he referenced was a non binding resolution that is not actually a LAW so it doesn't mean *****. It is specifically about John McCain and the thing about having 2 american parents is meant to point out that it is reason enough for McCain to qualify as "natural born."

Once again you find yourself taken in by some conspiracy BS based only on what you saw in a video instead of doing your own simple research. It's really sad how sick you have become. I hope somebody in your family convinces you to seek professional help.

    Interesting.

I never heard before that a requirement for being a "natural born" citizen is that both parents be US citizens. My understanding is that they just needed to be born on US soil.

If this was the understood definition, I wonder why have "birthers" been focusing so much on whether he was born in Kenya?

You might be a birther if...

You’ve learned only in the last 3 years what Article 2, Clause 5, in the Constitution says

This birther movement was stupid already and it's simply getting worse. If I were the GOP, I'd continue to distance myself as much as possible from idiots like the OP. I'm done beating around the bush: you people are stupid.

The consensus view seems to be that a natural born citizen is someone who attains citizenship at birth.

Obama's birth certificate shows he was born in Hawaii, a US state, and therefore was a citizen at birth. Hence, he's a natural born citizen.

Being born on a US military base does not, in itself, qualify one as a citizen:

    [rquoter]
The definition of the United States, for nationality purposes, was expanded in 1952 to add Guam, and in 1986 it was expanded again to include the Northern Mariana Islands.[27] Persons born in these territories (in addition to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) currently acquire U.S. citizenship at birth on the same terms as persons born in other parts of the United States. The category of outlying possessions of the United States (whose inhabitants generally have U.S. nationality but not U.S. citizenship) is now restricted to American Samoa and Swains Island.[28][29] Regarding people born at U.S. military bases in foreign countries, current U.S. State Department policy (as codified in the department's Foreign Affairs Manual) reads:

"Despite widespread popular belief, U.S. military installations abroad and U.S. diplomatic or consular facilities are not part of the United States within the meaning of the 14th Amendment. A child born on the premises of such a facility is not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States and does not acquire U.S. citizenship by reason of birth."[30]
    [/rquoter]

That's why in McCain's case, the additional requirement that he be born to US citizens was also needed.

    FWIW,

Andrew Jackson (1829-1837) is the only president born of two immigrants, both Irish. Presidents with one immigrant parent are Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809), whose mother was born in England, James Buchanan (1857-1861) and Chester Arthur (1881-1885), both of whom had Irish fathers, and Woodrow Wilson (1913-1921) and Herbert Hoover (1929-1933), whose mothers were born respectively in England and Canada.

He loves his NFL and College Basketball, that's as good as a certificate in my eyes. You can rest assure that Obama will not be a turncoat and reveal secret information to the king and the rest of British empire.

This guy's a moron. It's funny to see conservatives who are anchor baby folks and birthers at the same time. They can't get their laws straight.

It's not that he was born on a base, its that he was born on the Panama Canal Zone. The Panama Canal Zone was an unincorporated territory of the US and subsequently the Supreme Court ruled that unincorporated territories are not part of the United States. Congress later passed a law to retroactively grant citizenship to people born in the Panama Canal Zone as well as granting it to anyone born after passage of the law. However this law was passed a year after McCain was born and the question was whether the retroactive assignment of US citizenship to McCain qualified as "natural born" citizenship.

Hence the additional qualification by the resolution stating that McCain had two American born parents.

This. The guy in the video admits that the constitution doesn't define a natural born citizen, then goes on to cite McCain's non binding resolution that was specific to his case as the definition for a natural born citizen, then ends the video by saying that we are ignoring the consitution by allowing Obama to remain president, even though he already said the constitution doesn't really define a natural born citizen past having to have been born here. (sorry for runon sentence) The hypocrisy is obvious, if you really watched this whole video and bought what he was saying, wow....
