JC. Here is the thing. You make your "I was right post". You say people were "ignorant masses".

But you lose everyone's respect when you make statements like "This is just one more instance of the great JCDenton being 'Ahead of the Curve.'".

Most of the posters on Clutchfan's can't stand you simply because you continue to add those statements to your posts...well among other things.

That Spurs team would have been exhausted if it went 7. OKC would have had an easier time with them than with the Grizz. Same with the Lakers.. athletic teams are their achilles heel and the Grizz & Thunder are the two most athletic teams in the West. Same reason the Lakers want the Celtics (similar to the Spurs) over the Heat or Bulls.

All I got to say is vindication. Every time Zach hit another shot, then another, another, another, he was telling all the naysayers. the doubters, people who wrote him off as a black hole, that they were absolutely wrong.

How does that contract look now?

    {ps, I told you Zach Randolph was going to surprise you. R U Surprised yet?}

So we are just ignore that we could have gotten Zach Randolph for next to nothing back in 06? When we'd probably would have made the Finals with T-Mac-Yao-Randolph??

Our owner is cheap. Lets face it.

All we'll get is roleplayers and everyone is going to celebrate how awesome it is that we have finally been able to lock up Budinger for 4 years 4 million instead of the standard second-rounder contract!!!

JC, he's beasting. All right. That's all I can give him. Do I think it will last? Nope, I do not. He's a doofus. He's highly talented. And I am secretly hoping Memphis busts a move. I always like the underdog. But I have no confidence in this guy. Like the OP said, he's probably with 3 hookers right now. He's always found a way to screw it up.

Hopefully he can keep it rolling throughout this postseason and Memphis makes a great run to the Western Finals. I think that would be great. But I think they are doomed to mediocrity with his albatross contract around their necks. And I'm still convinced that the first time things get rough, they're gonna see Zach chucking basketballs at people's heads from across the gym, or arrested for being in a limo with 4 women all smokin crack, or something else stupid. Sorry, I have no confidence in his character. In fact I'm so convinced of his bad character that I believe it always bleeds over to the basketball court. I wouldn't be surprised if by midseason next year, that he's chucking up 3 pointers and missing and letting guys blow by him for dunks. He's a psycho nutball with no brain. Highly talented player......but a psycho nutball. That's all I'm saying.

On average I'm pretty well-liked here. Haters are always gonna hate but my supporters outnumber my detractors and I could stack my rep 10 bubbles deep if I wanted to just by cranking out graphs all day.

Dude has been clutch with his freethrows down the stretch and hitting contested shots over doubleteams on broken plays. He easily could have lost his cool in game 5 when the Spurs made their run but he stayed composed even as his team blew the game by not getting him the ball enough. Then he came back in game 6 and took care of business, refusing to be denied. I think there's a good case to be made that he's the most dominant player in the playoffs right now.

    Luv this thread!

Yup, and I'm sure the majority of Clutchfans would have attacked anyone who suggested that we make a move for either of those guys then.

Your owner is cheap? You do realize there is such a thing as a salary cap right? If les would have traded for zbo back in 06 they would have had to included on of the two of yao or TMac to make the salaries work.

Also this pipe dream you are thinking of can really only exist with two out of the three players injured for the rest their careers right? Sounds like championship team to me with zbo and a bunch of 2nd rounders. Thank you les and Morey for not being as dumb as the idiots on cf.

You're very much exaggerating the situation.

Zach Randolph's salary back in 06 was only $10 million. It was the length of his deal and the bad reputation tags he had that scared away teams. Its not like he was being paid the $17 million or so that is he being paid right now.
They had just drafted LaMarcus Aldridge. They dumped Randolph for Steve Francis the year after AFTER Randolph had gone from 17ppg to 24ppg.

The Rockets surely could match up $10 million in salary? no?

Surely Rudy Gay alone was enough for a trade?

And if I am dumb just because I am having a critical opinion of the owner, then you are free to think so. Because, obviously by your extremely smart and well-researched opinion, "two out of 3 players were injured for the rest of their careers".

    Is that so?

In 2006-2007 we were as healthy as we ever were since the series with the Mavs. We took the Jazz to 7 series playing 2 on 5 offense.

2008 we won 22 games in a row. made the playoffs. played 1.5(T-Mac + Scola) on 5 offense and still took them to 6 games.

2009 you know what we were like.

    Success speaks for itself.

Rudy Gay was injured for this series, no? Caron Butler injured, no?

When was the last time we signed a player to a big extension since the Yao Ming extension?

ok, I'm out for the night. Some people are going to flame me every time I speak negatively of the owner, but I'm just gonna say one thing: "RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES".

And its not like our owner is the Magic owner.

    Comic genius.

Oh, link to prediction post, please. And maybe a little graph for your fans if it's not too much to ask?

Honestly I still think Randolph is on the luckiest streak of his life. He's like 6'7 and not even 6'9 just like Landry but with better footwork and shot. I'd much rather have an Aldridge than a Randolph I'm sick of short guys in the post not named Chuck Hayes.

I'd be inclined to give Zbo the benefit of the doubt and say his issues were maturity related and his gotten a few years into him now.

I don't get the point you were trying to make. Randolph's "bad rep" wasn't just a rep, he was a cancer before. If we had traded for him instead of NY he would be doing his legendary 3p stroke at JVG/RA instead of Isiah Thomas. Ha has indeed played well however his new extension cost the Grizz a cool 14M dollars. 14M for a soon to be 30 year old who doesn't defend? That's just as stupid as saying we would have been better off keeping Gay and having the privilege of paying him his max contract for the next 5 years.
