With all the talk about Rick Adelman leaving and Yao Ming's future along with questioning Daryl Morey's decisions, I'd just like to remind everyone we won 22 f'in games in a row!!! Yes that was eons ago. But seems some of you have completely forgotten why we signed coach Adelman in the first place and why why we have the team we have now...the Yao Ming/Tracy McGrady tandem was, for a time, absolutely dominant. Check out some of Yao's box scores...26/10 on 10/18 against Dwight. 36/11 on 14/21 FG against NY...30/17 on 12/19 against Seattle...36/19 on 11/19 and 14/15 against GSW..28/9 on 12/17 against the Hawks...28/14 on 12/21 against the Hornets. Just incredible numbers. Shaquille 0'Neal type dominant games. Can you really question Morey for building around Yao Ming? Sure the gamble failed and we're stuck with a ton of "assets" now, but just remember how we got here in the first place. How great of a headline would it have looked? "Dominant center from China leads Rockets to title". Hell, Yao probably could held more diplomacy than Obama/Bush/whoever is next president ever could have. It made 100% sense to gamble on Yao. He wasn't just a "cash cow", he had the skillset and mindset to lead a team to a title. But I digress... and remember 22 consecutive games in a row!!!
Story of the Rockets for the past decade...When our 2 superstars were healthy our role players sucked..When we finally got a good supporting cast our superstars broke down.. Nevertheless, had plenty of good times. I say its about time we had some good luck!
I hope something good happens for this team, because I cringe at seeing so many empty seats at the TC. If I still lived in H-town, I would be there every game, 22-game win streak or not. Please, Morey, make a huge splash and bring back the glory that is Rockets.
That's what is so terrible. It isn't darkest here, so we're stuck in limbo between total darkness and dawn, which is the worst place to be in the NBA.
22 wins is nothing, I'd rather have beat the Jazz in the 1st round than that overrated 22 win streak. Id rather go 24-1 with two 12 game streaks any day.
22 winning streak is amazing. I will never ever forget this amazing ride. I went to two Rockets games during 22 winning streak and I am glad I experienced it. Hopefully Rockets will do it again soon. I believe it!
I went to 2 of them also. Seemed extra long because one was before the AllStar break and one was after.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but to me, memories are made in the playoffs, not the regular season. That's the way it was in the 90's and that's the way it should always be. Kind of sad that the only great memories some of the younger Rocket fans have involve meaningless regular season win streaks and amazing dunks/plays during playoff series that we eventually lost.

So the win streak meant nothing to you? It was historic. If you don't consider that a good memory, I don't understand how you could enjoy watching basketball at all. Sure, I'd trade it in for a championship in a heartbeat, but that doesn't mean it wasn't an awesome feat.
Must have been beautiful time for Houston Rockets. I don't know why negative people have to interrupt with thundercloud over nice memory.
Anyone here know where to find 22 games winning streak poster, t-shirt, banner, or whatever you name it? So I can buy it for good memories. Thanks!
Either you're trolling or you're mixing up realism with pure negativity. Everything you said is irrelevant to how cool that 22 game win streak was.
