I hate his Jaguar ass already. He put on that crappy ass teal hat, and the flip switched instantly.

And I'm talking to you too, Jake Locker.

Are the Jags going to keep Garrard around? It seems like he's too good of a quarterback to expect to mentor his replacement, and they're going to have to pay Gabbert too much to carry a clipboard for three years. It just doesn't make much sense to me. I think Jacksonville would have been better waiting for someone like Andy Dalton.

I don't think the jags are in any rush for gabbert to actually get meaningful snaps. I think they are content with letting garrard run the show for another year or so and then passing the torch over.

His contract runs through 2014 I think.

So, Gabbert will have to wait 3 years or so, unless they plan on trading Garrard soon.

No way is Garrard going to last another three years there. They were desperately looking to pull the plug on him early last season when they signed Trent Edwards. Garrard is very inconsistent and struggles with good defenses, then puts up big numbers against teams like us that make his numbers look respectable. His QB rating is generally in the low 80's, which is average at best, with the exception of 2007 and last year (picked on bad teams to get to 90).

I would expect Gabbert to get starts this year if he struggles again and/or if they are out of the playoffs, and he might take over full time next year.

I smell bust. I think Gabbert is going to bust like David Carr. He can't throw in the red zone. Something tells me he won't be able to correct it just like Carr couldn't correct happy feet.
