No dude IF (big if) Barwin is back healthy he's a LBer now solely. I don;t like drafting a rotation guy here either but we just got done walking the rookie cb road and it's a path that doesn't lend itself to winning except in the rarest of circumstances.
Here's a thread from draftcountdown dedicated solely to J.J Watt; followed his entire 2010 season up until the draft.. love what I'm reading from it. http://www.draftcountdown.com/forum/...ad.php?t=43311
Barwin is certainly in the mix, but the underrated OLB candidate from within is Mark Anderson. I thought he played very well as a situational edge guy in the second half of last year, and Lance has said the Texans are high on him. With restricted FA, he should be easy to re-sign.
I don't think the rookie cb road is the problem. It's the crap cb road that's the problem. Most everyone wanted Kyle Wilson last year but the genius, Rick Smith picked Kareem Jackson because Nick Saban is a genius and because Kareem was the most ready CB in the draft and because he was SO physical. Har har har... he looked really physical getting burned on all those double moves last season. The Patriots picked up Devin McCourty after our pick and he was fantastic.
How did Baylor end up with two first rounders? Wow. Draft Rahim Moore tomorrow and then call it a day.
The whole draft has been like that. Maybe they're fake. I think Fairley had a damn mine on his wrist.
You've got players going broke at an alarming rate, and a lockout in effect (kinda), with tons of players trying to hold onto every penny they have, and these guys do this stuff? Wow.
The best thing about the way the draft has went so far is that there are a lot of good CBs left, and there should be a couple of good choices when the Texans pick in the 2nd round.
