I am not sure what to make of Sikma's comments regarding the head coaching job. I read something in the chronicle where he said he was thankful but sounded hesitant to interview for the job. Now sources are saying he and Elie are part of the recruiting process. I would love to see Sikma as our head coach.

I think if we were to get Dwight Howard or any sort of tall athletic center, Sikma would be the perfect man for the job. And he knows the offense that the current team has been running.:)

Um no, Yao was beasting it up 06-07 long before Adelman and Sikma's arrival. Just go back and look at some footage.

If Jack Sikma was hired as the next Rocket's head coach, he would likely continue to use an offense that is very similar to the one that Rick Adelman used.

    Just saying.

If the core group is retained with the only exemption of adding a big such as D'andre Jordan than why not hire Sikma? He's been right there and can continue Adelman's tenure without missing a beat.

i know yao had his best years stat wise under jvg but i think his best year was definitely that season when we played portland in the first round. it just seemed like it to me i guess. i felt more confident when the ball was in his hands.

you mean the year he averaged his lowest PPG output in 5 years and a 22.7 PER (compared to over 25 in his prime).....prior to getting injured and then ending his career?

I'm not sure about him as a head coach, but he does seem good at tutoring young bigs. If he did part ways with Adelman, I'd like to see him on a team like the Timberwolves, working with Love and Milicic.
