Grass growing gets off to a faster start then Boardwalk did.

Ratings for the second episode look promising:

Definitely a better episode than the first one. The plot actually moved, and you got a better sense of what was happening without having to deal with 50 character introductions.

They should've shown this episode along with the pilot. Things would've made more sense.

Agreed. A 2-hour first episode would have helped tremendously.

Somehow didn't read the books, absolutely loving it, my only criticism is feels like I would enjoy it even more watching them on block, I know I won't be able to stop myself watching it weekly but on DVD over a weekend be awesome

I like the show so far, but based on reading all the messages in this thread, I thought the characters would be more morally 'grey'. So far all the characters really seem black and white. All the Lannisters, except for the Tyrion, are all over-the-top cruel, and all the Starks are good. Tyrion is the only character that seems to be more complicated and is capable of doing things that are good or bad. He's my favorite character so far.. I hope he doesn't die.

Give it time. The different sides of various characters all get revealed as the story unfolds.

I think it will develop more, but I kind of disagree even as it is. I think Catelyn Stark isn't a total good guy, or at least not totally likable. Sansa also feigned memory loss when she could have told the truth.

Compared to GoT, Camelot is Twilight.

I'm hooked. Never read any of the books, but I probably will now that I am into the story. Did some minor research about the series of books on the web to become familiar with the characters and the world they live in, and I am really excited about this TV series.

For sure, it takes a while for the characters to build up in the books-- certainly longer than a couple of 1-hour episodes can do. We are talking about each book in the series being something like 900 or 1000 pages after all.

And of course, the author is ruthless about killing off a character that he spent all this effort building up...

DON'T MAN!! :p No, seriously, try to avoid spoilers about any of this stuff if you can, there's going to be a lot of things happening that you're going to want to not have any knowledge of when they happen. You don't want stuff that might give any of that away (like, say, Carl's spoiler up there).

Anyhow, good to hear it seems to be doing decently in the ratings.

I don't think it's fair to compair HBO series to any other network series. Showtime does a pretty good job and is the only one that is really close but Starz (while their series are entertaining) are just not in the same galaxy as HBO Series.

The only thing good that Camelot has got going is Tamsin Egerton, the actress who plays Guinevere. She is smoking hot and naked in every episode

Episode 2 is so much better. Got some good emotional impact. Can not wait for the 3rd one. The girl playing Sansa is a bit stiff.
