... Dr. Chiyome Fukino, a former director of the Hawaii Department of Health and a Republican, told CNN in her most extensive comments to date that she has "no doubt" Obama was born in the state. Obama's 2008 campaign produced a certification of live birth, a document legally accepted as confirmation of a birth and routinely used for official purposes. Fukino went one step further, taking advantage of a state law that allows certain public officials to examine a person's actual birth certificate if there is a "direct and tangible interest." The president's certificate, she said, is stored in a vault in the building that houses the Department of Health. Ironically, unlike the certificate of live birth, it is no longer accepted for official usage. Obama's certificate is "absolutely authentic," she said. "He was absolutely born here in the state of Hawaii." ... http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/04/25/birthers.obama.hawaii/
Welcome to the party. It's too bad you're the last one here. The rest of the world had a good time laughing already.
The only thing that matters is that two high ranking officials have validated the birth certificate. What does not matter is a piece of paper called a Certification of Birth, in which anyone can get, regardless of birth place. Also unsubstantiated personal accounts with the family does not matter. What needs to happen is a clear set of rules needs to be laid out on who is eligible to be president. Just because a person was born on US soil should not make the eligible (illegals) and just because someone is born in another country to two American citizens should not make the ineligible. Also, a method needs to be determined to verify if someone is eligible. Should we make the birth certificate public for anyone elected?
Me too. I thought I was nixed because I was born in France. Turns out the 4th graders who told me that didn't know what the hell they were talking about. Stupid American public schools! If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have killed all those hookers. Now, I just know people will bring that up to try to smear me! (Though you'll have a better case than me before the Supreme Court.)
he's just in time for the 2nd birther with presidential aspirations.. can't wait for the governator to join the party
Wasn't this debunked by the State of Hawaii? Wasn't it clarified that you could a CoLB from Hawaii but that would state where you were actually born and that it required validation from the birth records on file? So if you were born in Texas you couldn't get a CoLB from Hawaii saying you were born in Hawaii?
Go for it, man. Just make sure you pick RockyRaccoon as your presidential campaign song. Rocky Raccoon checked into his room Only to find Gideon's bible Rocky had come equipped with a gun To shoot off the legs of his rival dada dada da da da da dada. dada dada da da da da dada. repeat repeat repeat.....da da da da dadada da da da da da...
Anyway, forget all the facts for a minute. The biggest argument in favor of him being a citizen in my mind is that two political opponents, one (Clinton) notorious for being cutthroat and famous for her "political machine" looked into the issue when running against him. Both of them lost their campaign attempts and at no point disputed his birth status. The idea that two people that close to being president decided he was eligible to run so did not dispute his candidacy should put the issue to bed. No one had more to gain from him being born in Kenya than Hillary or John McCain. Edit: Think for a minute. The birthers are probably the same people who think Bill Clinton organized murders of people who could damage his career and dropped bombs to cover up a sex scandal, yet they think he and his wife would help cover up the heritage of a political opponent who was about to beat them?
You can change the constitutional rules of who is eligible or not, and you can change what is an accepted form of official ID able to be used to prove birth place if you'd like. That isn't the issue here. Those rules are in place now and were in place both when Obama was born, and when he ran for President. For you to try and claim that you can get a certificate of live birth regardless of place of birth isn't accurate. You can do that but it won't say you were born in Hawaii unless you were born in Hawaii. Please don't repeat falsehoods like the certificate of live birth isn't proof of birth in Hawaii. What doesn't matter are bogus claims that you and others have made that the certificate of live birth isn't proof of where he was born. The fact of the matter is that the certificate posted and shown by Obama is every bit as valid and does just as much a Birth Certificate. To say differently is either a lie, or a mistake stated by someone who doesn't have all the facts.
LOL, I see what you mean. My point is that even if you pretend for a moment that no facts have been released on either side to support their argument, the mere fact that John McCain and Hillary Clinton, both of whom badly wanted to be president, decided he was eligible to be president and the FBI decided he was eligible to be president, should put this to bed.
Agreed, but for people who don't trust the legal birth certificate provided by Obama, nothing will be enough.
This really is the crux of the biscuit. Obama could show a super 8 video of his birth with Pearl Harbor in the background and it would be questioned by these freaks. There is no rational discussion with them
Look, I agree wholeheartedly with you on this once. Why won't Obama prove he was born here? We all prove we are born here to get a job. For example, I had to show my birth certificate to get a social security card and driver's license. And now I have a passport. That's proof. Why doesn't Obama have video recordings of his birth? Or at least picture? Shouldn't there be some kind of txt messages from his mother to his grandmother? If they pull the cell records they would get to the bottom of this.
