    No way.

Westbrook is younger, and is shown to be a capable scorer and closer.

Westbrook is literally better than Lowry in every aspect of the game.

You have a point it was a better matchup but still I don't think the gap between them is that far off in terms of who is the better OKC player.

I agree with you, Shaud. The biggest difference to me is that Westbrook doesn't receive the same calls as Durant. But, I dont think he helps his case by constantly complaining to the refs.

If he had shot free throws instead of getting a missed shot on some of those drives, his statline would have gone from 'too many shots' to 'wow, WB went off'

Perkins was just trying to get a technical called so the Thunder could get a free throw. Never seen someone who's as constantly pissed off as that guy

Agreed, I think people are selling Westbrook short or overrating Durant.

Then again a lot of people had Durant as the best NBA player coming into this season so this isn't shocking to me.

...in Westbrook's defense he is not a natural pg...he played pg @ UCLA. He reminds of Jason Terry early in his career in Atlanta, where they tried to make him a point guard.

WB was getting just as many FTs as KD earlier in the year. For the season he averages 7.7 FTs a game, which is 8th in the NBA. KD averages 8.7 FTs game. Not a big difference.

When WB plays within the offense, he gets more FTs than when he goes into "hero mode" and gets out of control. I bet you later in the playoffs, he will have a 15+ FT game.

ubigred, WB isn't a natural PG, but he has more PG skills than Jason Terry by far. There have been games where he's has 10 assists at halftime and it blows your mind. He has the ability and the vision, but he chooses not to play that way. The biggest obstacle for WB is his attitude, not his PG ability. He wants to bust out and dominate the other team instead of letting his teammates do it.

Honey Badger has a higher usage and drives more. He doesn't get the calls Durant does. (This isn't a knock on KD, who obviously did attend the Kevin Martin summer basketball camp.)

Since the Rockets are out. THUNDER is my #1 favorite team to win it all this year! Here's 3 reasons why...

    1. They got my man the Texas Longhorn Kevin Durant. I live in Austin.

    2. They are young, exciting, and fun to watch. You gotta love the KD/Westbrook combo.

    3. They aren't an in-state rival like Dallas or San Antonio or a team everyone hates like Boston, L.A. or Miami.

Did anyone see that ankle breaker by Durant on Andersen?

He made him dance, that was a sick step back crossover.

Westbrook is trying too hard to be the man. He needs to play within the flow.
