    I know I am late responding to you but...

    1) Spurs are a rival.
    2) They tanked to get Tim Duncan.
    3) They have been consistently good ever since - so jealousy :eek:

    Really no other reasons than those 3 but those should be enough. Granted, I would pull for them against the Mavericks (although I wouldn't be happy about it) but that might be the only time I would be openly rooting for the Spurs.

    Why? Is it just a hunch? Is it because they are the #1 seed and should be expected to bounce back against a #8?

    I know good and well it's only 2-1, but this series is for the Grizzlies to lose because they are better than the Spurs. As someone who's favorite remaining team in the West is OKC, I want the Spurs to win this series because they would present an easier 2nd round matchup.

    Now some of you can go ahead and call me crazy. "what" hasn't paid me to say this either.

    That's not true, though. The Spurs are a better team, or else they would not have had a better record (by pretty much any measure, even if you factor in recency). The Grizz got an upset in game #1 and they may very well ride that to a series victory, but I, for one, would be shocked.

    Over the course of the regular season, the Spurs were better. But that doesn't matter now. What matters is the Grizzlies look like the better team (to me). The Spurs aren't playing their best ball and 61 wins won't help them now. I fully expect the Grizzlies to win tonight unless they choke. The Spurs are ripe for the picking.

    The key is Marc Gasol. If he scores over 15 tonight they win. If he score less the loose.

    The spurs defense can handle one low post threat but not 2.
