No. I was never on the Rubio train of overhype to begin with. In fact I think right now Kyle Lowry has more value around the league than Ricky Rubio does.

I'd rather trade Lowry to move up in the draft to take Kyle Irving rather than gamble on Rubio...at least Irving can shoot

    Lol?

Anyways. Rubio is overrated. Eurotrash stays Eurotrash. Lowry is far tougher, stronger, and more effective.

Something productive? I suppose I could get you a dictionary. That way, you'd know what "potential" means.

Strange though...since "potential" was your only argument in the Dwight Howard thread, i could've sworn you knew what it meant.

Reputation aside, Holliger listed Lowry as the single best defensive PG in the league. Lowry has the top5 Assit to turnover ratio in the NBA(late season, top8 in all season)), and his shooting is now above average. I believe he's also one of the top rebounding PG(top3 actually) who draws charges and get to the foul lines at the top of the list.

Simply put, I think of Lowry as right between superstar and allstar in strict basketball sense. He's lacking the reputation and has some phsical limitation, but I wouldn't want to trade him for an borderline allstar if I'm the coach and if I just want to win games.

Lowry is coming into his own. I honestly feel he will be one of the top 7 PG's by next year.

This thread is pathetic. Why would you trade him for a guy that doesn't even play well in europe?

For Ricky Rubio and they throw in Kevin Love. Lowry is worth more than some guy who hasnt proven himself. Lowry is near allstar level at point guard and a true point guard who plays defense. He is so highly coveted right now that we should get Kevin Love if we are offering Lowry and Patrick Patterson for Rubio and Love.

How many games did Kevin Loves team win? How many games has Rubio played? Clearly Lowry and Patterson could be more talented than those two potentially.

6th man on a good team, just hilarious!!!!!!!!! According to you, Lowry is mediocore in the NBA (which is not true but lets go with it) while Rubio is less than mediocore in European League this year. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm whose better . (i believe your the biased one here)

Rockiy Rubio for Aaron Brooks would have been more like it. They are not smart enough to know they could have gotten Brooks for a guy who wont be good and they wont ever use. So? That why they are the Twolves.

Yea I agree. This team is going no where with the current roster, I'd take my chance on a potential superstar than an above average PG.

No way. Even if there was a chance for Rubio to be great, no team has won a title with the PG as it's best player since Isiah and Magic in the 80's. Stockton couldn't even do it with one of the greatest PF's of all time, Kidd struck out in his prime and Nash couldn't even get there.

Basically what I'm saying is a star wing or big > star PG. We've seen this play out several times over the past couple of decades. If you're going to take a chance, it probably shouldn't be on a PG. The one exception I might make is Chris Paul, since he can absolutely take over a game.

You can only chase the potential so long . . .

Next would be: Would you trade Ricky Rubio for <INSERT THE RICKY RUBIO OF 2012>?

We so busy trying to SELL HIGH . . .but sometimes that 'high' is not the HEIGHT they will reach. I think Lowry has more to grow. . .
