Whatever, I don't see the point of getting rid of his now, he barely played.

I wanna see just how good people claim TWill is at "iso" situations when we get a new coach.

Well, the Nets gave him 22mpg in 09-10. His numbers were OK I guess, at 8.4 ppg and 4.5rpg. The Nets saw he was physically gifted with a big upside, and he put up decent numbers and they still were happy to unload him on us.

I think Adelman would have given him a chance if had just had his head screwed on straight.

And to all the people who think Williams will get minutes next year, where are those minutes going to come from? Are people going to be happy when Martin or Lee lose minutes to Williams. And I almost forgot, Williams thinks he is a point guard.

people seems to forget TWill was in the doghouse in NJ too. He got deported to the Dleague for attitude problems/being late for practice or something

He's wasn't in the doghouse in 09-10 under Lawrence Frank or Kiki Vandeweghe, though.

    Let's give this a guy a break.
He's stepped his twitter game up the last few days and it might be hopeful on my part, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him being the Rockets starting SF next season.

I think fans hope he will take over small forward from Budinger. Thing is, he has long way to go before a coach thinks he will contribute more positively than Bud. I do not see him being patient and working hard for this, as reporter says Williams is already disruptive and lazy in practice. Plus he says he’s not small forward because of height, so he is probably just willing to play guard position. Ship him to another team where they will give him this chance. Houston’s guard positions are stacked.

I'm not forgetting he was in the doghouse at NJ. The point I was making is that NJ had a good long look at the guy. He got regular minutes for an entire season, and even with the potential that Williams possesses, the Nets decided they didn't want the guy. Maybe the Nets would have kept him if they weren't trying to acquire first round picks for a Carmello trade, but they still traded him.

People around here seem to forget that Williams already had a chance to prove himself during the 09-10 season with the Nets when he got 22mpg. Williams didn't impress the Nets enough in his 22mpg season to be in the long term plans of the Nets. You would think that one of the worst teams in the league would want a young player with so much upside, but he wasn't worth the trouble. And then Williams acts like an idiot after being traded to the Rockets.

That's true and all, but let's not underrated the coaching, front office and ownership change in NJ.

Williams was drafted by Rod Thorn to play for Lawrence Frank.
He was traded by Billy King, because him and Avery Johnson weren't getting along and Prokhorov had them stock-pilling draft picks in their hunt for a superstar.

I remember that when Williams was traded, a lot, if not most Nets fans were upset, so Williams had to have shown them something, don't you think?

I don't remember any Net fans in an uproar about Williams being traded, but I don't hang out in NJ Net forums very often. I think most Net fans were probably all caught up in the Nets bid to acquire Carmello, so they probably weren't too concerned about losing someone from the D-League. It seems I do vaguely remember some Net fan saying that Williams may develop into something, but getting another first round pick to trade to Denver was more important than keeping Williams.

either he's a huge idiot or just a poser, his last tweet

"People playing basketball an loving it, playing like they still broke. That's the NBA an we Kant come to an agreement? smh no LOCKOUT"

how did he replace "can't" correct but then the very next word is "come"?

He's probably just a poser doing it to be cool.

Because Squid just happens to be the only person on our team with superstar potential.

Actually, he and Bud were playing well together. I think they should start Lee and Martin with Bud and Will coming off the bench.

I'm with you and it's pretty obvious that TWill is stating that because of the limitations of his playing time, there is an absence of irrefutable evidence of how well he can play, thus, no one could really know whether he is a superstar or not.

I watched the Nets game the day of the trade and you wouldn't believe how relieved the announcers (Marv Albert and Mike Fratello) were that he was moving to Houston. They said and quote:

"If there is a coach out there who might be able to find something in Terrence, it is coach Adelman."

"Rick Adelman..... Good luck."(and chuckles from Marv Albert and Mike Fratello.

-There might be some fans out there mourning his loss, but I would say from the commentary, the overall consensus in the organization was relief.

However I propose that the idea of Terrance Williams as superstar does exist separate from such physical, concrete evidence. And that the manifestation of such proof, which should occur in due course, would be as a result of the existence of such an idea in the first place. It's inherent in TWill's nature.
