African Cats - 7/10 ... nice eye candy, though the narration was somewhat lacking

So damn overrated. The actions and the characters are so comical. Terrible direction because it doesn't know if it should take itself seriously or not. A total mess.

Rashomon 8.5/10 Another Akira Kurosawa masterpiece but not as good as Seven Samurai. A deep take on the human psyche.

Winter's Bone 8/10 Very good movie and great performance by Jennifer Lawrence.

    The Other Guys - 5/10

Did anyone find this movie boring? I did. Sweet Jesus, I was checking the run time during the movie; felt like a 4 hour movie. I thought the Movie was going to be like the first 10 minutes with The Rock and Sam Jack, it wasn't. So disappointing especially since it's a "Guaranteed Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes. Extremely Overrated.

I would go see a Prequel with The Rock and Sam Jack reprising their roles though; that would be hilarious.

The Human Centipede (First Sequence) 5/10

The acting was terrible but it provided some nice humor.

Fast Five 7/10 - It is what it is. Good action, some cheesyness, but will keep you entertained.

    127 Hours - 6/10
Maybe it's just me. I just don't see it. It's ok and the cutting off the hand part was anticlimactic for me. Mr. Franco did provide some good acting though. Maybe it's because of the hype it got from here and got me to set the bar real high.

    Morning Glory - 5.5/10
Decent chick flick to watch with the gf. I think I enjoyed it more due to the fact that I was with the gf.

Shaolin - 4/10 **Spoiler Alert Spoiler Alert**
Massive disappointment. Tried too hard to be epic, especially with the whole "all the good guys get to die" in the end. Very typical and formulaic IMO.

    Black Swan - 6/10

Ok, maybe I fall into the category of people who just have to ask the question 'Why?'.

Why did they make this movie in the first place? What was the point exactly? What was the 'message' of this film?

The only message it seems to have is that clearly schizophrenic people should probably not get involved in extremely high-pressure occupations.

And if you have Barbara 'Hideous' Hershey as a mommy, you are probably going to end up like Sissy Spacek in Carrie.

Got about 40 minutes into it the other night when the Bin Laden news broke. Ended up not finishing it, but was thinking the same things up to that point in the film.

    The King's Speech - 9/10

Really well made film, and not just because I have a stammer. Top notch acting performances by Colin Firth (who I don't usually like) and Geoffrey Rush, but Helena Bonham Carter nearly steals the movie.

I just watched Love Guru for some reason...

2/10 - but damn the only reason this is worth watching is Meagan Good and Jessica Alba. I've forgotten how hot Meagan Good was...

It's actually a remake of Jet Li's original Shaolin Temple movie, that's why the story seems kind of formulaic to you... I have not seen this myself but hard-core kung fu movie goers are saying this one is pretty good and back to it's roots in Hong Kong action movies...

Just watched Four Lions via Netflix streaming.

    <iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/yszKc4m-W9U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It alternates between absurd, hilarious, touching, sad, and creepy. At the end of the movie, I felt a bit conflicted about how I felt about the protagonists and the story, which is the mark of a good film.

    8/10

Highly recommended for someone who wants to watch something a bit different than the usual story.

Fast Five 6.5/10 Actions was so over rated. It was fun to watch but man was it damn stupid. I mean I'm willing to suspense my disbelief but this gone a little to far and too stupid for my taste.
