Steve Kerr: "Sixers won't be coming back in this series save a Miami Heat Bus crash." I have to admit, spot on...
Gundy was an idiot for his comments about Dwight training with Hakeem. I am looking at his moves and he is basically trying to mimic Hakeem's moves. The fake with the shoulder and going the other way. The quick spin in the opposite direction. The quick jumphook before the defender has time to setup. Dwight has really benefited from the training session with Hakeem and its showing.
For the Magic to win this game (and the rest of the games in this series), the supporting cast around Howard needs to show up. You can't keep counting on Howard to have monster games just to survive against the Hawks. They've got the Bulls / Pacers, and then the Celtics / Heat if they manage to survive all the way to the ECF. If Orlando can't compete with a team like the Hawks, then they are not going to be able to compete in the future, with the contracts of Turkoglu and Arenas, and the need to sign Howard (who deserves a max contract). This means they keep advancing to the 'offs, meaning a mediocre draft pick. Rinse and repeat for years to come.
I don't blame SVG though; he was sticking up for Patrick Chewing and his coaching staff. How terrible to know that ONE summer made Dwight that much better when Patrick Chewing, Orlando big man coach, couldn't add anything to his game in multiple Years.
Then Jamal Crawford does even worse? I don't think I've ever seen such a collectively low IQ on a playoff team. B4L, I don't envy you at all guy. Rooting for a team like this is madness.
turkoglu is 11-47 so far in this series. it's almost impossible to be that bad over 4 games without trying.
Damn the Magic suck....poor Howard. NO support. It's like the TMAC / Yao era....when they actually played together.
