I believe prayer saved my life. Everyone has a right to their own opinion and can do what they want. I will pray for Rudy.

What?! What have I done wrong? That is my personal opinion. I'm not religious and said that prayers won't help (in my opinion, of course). That, however, of course doesn't mean that I don't want Rudy T to get healthy! Best wishes to him. I simply said I don't believe prayers will help. If you think otherwise, go ahead. I have no problem with that. But calling me an "a**hole" and neglecting my personal opinion actually makes you look pretty bad. Especially if you're Christian and believe in "Christian values". Of course. If you think I was implying that you cannot do what you want you misunderstood me. I simply don't think prayers will help. But this doesn't belong here. This is a basketball forum and not a discussion about religion.
You used very poor word choice in your OP. I honestly could care less about your opinion, but if your going to make a statement against believing, you better make sure everyone knows it's only your opinion in your OP, or your going to piss someone off.
Alright, then. I didn't think my post would cause trouble. Like I said, this should be a discussion about basketball, and before I say anything more that might "piss off" some of you, I'd rather not say anything anymore concering this discussion.
Every Rockets fan is praying for this man, but come on, he had a cancer and he won't going to risk his health again. He has a pretty nice job for a great organization (despite the fact that I hate it actually) without huge stress and without some psycho leverage on his health. If he could and if he ever wanted to return, he would do it. But he didn't and I don't think that he wants to I wish him best
I'm not exactly sure what this means. Respecting his privacy would have meant not posting this thread, which has no relevance to whether we should pray or not. You know what he meant. You get your morals from wherever you get your morals from. Some people get theirs from religion. Obviously if your morals aren't religiously based then you won't value something like prayer at all. It's so easy to agree to disagree that it doesn't even need to be said. Best wishes to Rudy.
Both my sisters beat cancer in 'miraculous' fashion after we prayed for them, the power of prayer can move mountains. I was very badly injured in a work accident, had one year of physio on back and shoulder, nothing worked. Went to a church that prayed for the sick, I thought that I was being made to look a fool, but after praying over me, my back pain was healed. Prayer works
Lady Gaga is a pretty hard core Catholic, actually. Bad example. All D&D crap aside, I cant see how prayers, positive thoughts, or even the sacrifice of a virgin (if you can find one) would be a bad thing.
Perhaps Clutchfans can put together some kind of card telling him how much joy he has brought us and how much we still all appreciate what he has done. That way it's not butting into his private life but if he really does have cancer, he'll get the message that we are thinking about him.
An excellent post. Probably hopeless here, but still excellent. As someone who just lost a very close family member to the disease, I can tell you that privacy in these situations can be priceless. Wish him well, if this is true. Heck, wish him well if it isn't, but let's not make a circus of it.
