two things, first of all, this is not a black/white thing that people are making it out to be. You take two hillbilly rednecks that are against gays and you might get just as harsh a beating. What is in common, the lack of education, excessive ignorance, and lack of any class and self restraint. That said, I am fine with them and you thinking this lady/guy was in the wrong. That is fine, tell the manager, complain, say a few words, or call the cops if that is how serious you feel. I am not saying she should or should not have been in the restroom, regardless of her stance, the beating is the issue, that was excessive, unnecessary, and just plain disgusting behavior

I am aware of the exceptions, but they are just that.....exceptions. The presence of the occasional exception does not make the rule void. The overwhelmingly majority of males have "Y" chromosomes and the overwhelmingly majority of females have no "Y" chromosomes. You are right that SOME transgenders are caught in between.....emphasis on the word some. I understand that this is a sensitive topic for some and that their are exceptions, however....the Y chromosome is something that for all intensive purposes is a distinctly MALE characteristic. The standard male karotype is XY, the standard female karotype is XX. This is why people are shocked to see the occasional exception.
If the man lives and dresses like a female, he should use the female restroom. Don't worry there are no urinals in the female restroom so his schlong won't be exposed when he pisses and if women are walking around exposed in a Mickey D's restroom they got bigger problems than a tranny getting a look.
I got jumped with a couple buddies @ McDonalds near Astroworld while waiting for a ride. We were just kids at the time. The employees just sat and watched then too. FWIW, that place was straight up ghetto. But they hire low rents so I don't expect them to do much.
I'm quite surprised at the level of understanding about transgenders by some of you. Kudos. A gay man identifies as a male and a transgender man identifies as a female. There is a big difference, despite you're own personal beliefs.

fwiw- most people in this thread would stand by if a random fight were going down. Self-preservation is human nature. I'd like to think that someone would rush in to help, but the vast majority of people would think something like "I don't want to get involved because this person might start trying to mess with me"

There's nothing funny about what happened. It was a vile hate crime, and the people trying to marginalize the assault are just as evil as the witnesses who stood by and did nothing while the two bullies attempted to murder an innocent human being.

they were caught quickly after IIRC...one was 14 and the other 18...not sure about the charges, i think they were waiting to decide if it was a hate crime. All this talk and it wasn't even about her gender apparently...or maybe that's what set off the black chick, realizing her man was hitting on a transexual?
