you got be kidding me. thabeet doesn't how to play bball. only thing he has is to block. he even can't maintain his balance every time he blocked a shot. well, this kid knows bball way more than thabeet. his coordination is superior to thabeet. this kid knows where he should be and how to play with his teammates.
We have all of 2 spots in RGV available for young players. One of them is almost certainly Thabeet. Why draft another project C to split time with Thabeet at the C position in RGV? Just focus on developing Thabeet. The other spot should go to Squid. We can't fill the roster with projects who have no hope of contributing in game situations.

Not only is this kid the second coming of Manute Bol famine jokes, but Morey will never draft (and keep) an 18-year-old pure risk. He may be a seven footer, but he only weighs 200 lbs, which makes him a non-moneyball development project with a maturity deficit.
He now checks in at 220 currently and can run the floor very well for his size. He has good timing on his blocks already and knows how to keep the ball in play. He is also a pretty decent free throw shooter. Although he plays in a somewhat minor spanish league, he has still been playing against good talent. He knows basketball pretty well for an 18 year old. Good iq. Get him with a good big man coach and watch him take off in a year or two.
exactly. if comparing clips btw thabeet & the kid, you can see clearly the kid has way much better coordination than thabeet. thabeet fallen down every time he blocked a shot. the kid blocked a shot then immediately run to the other end. the kid knows to establish his position to be a easy target for passer.

He doesn't actually play in a minor league in Spain. He plays in a youth division in Spain. Big difference. Same thing as being a high school player in the US basically.
