On second thought, maybe she is just thinking we get Roy to ruin our chances of competing for the next 4 years... We stock up on top 5 picks and build the dynasty of the future lol
Brand Roy, right now, couldn't even get off the bench as a $14 million dollar super sub. I'd rather the Rockets bring back Ryan Bowen if they wanted a cheerleader sitting on the bench.
He's just having fun with you. One of the best posters here is a woman and she is highly respected here. But with all due respect, your question is pretty bad.
I'll sign someone off clutchfans before Roy. But it really its sad how its career will end. He had a bright future just not too long ago and now he might not even be in the league in a few years.
Don't worry about it, sis. For the most part on this board, I've never revealed my gender and my moniker is that of a former planet and yellow dog , so most people assumed I was a guy, when in reality I'm just a girl. Who has been debating fairly competently about sports with guys across the board. I said one thing about myself, earlier this year, and no one picked up on it. When I didn't explain things well, I just did know too much or elaborate well enough on that topic, not because I was a girl (no one knew that much). Isn't that funny how that works. Even though, I disagree on Roy a little bit with you (I would actually sign him for the right price, not superstar money, but something under $6 mil a year), some of posters are jeering too much and make fun of you for being a girl on a sports board. Yet, a few of those posters I've seen before and they do not know what they hell they are talking about or defending half of the time. You might be a girl with a flawed opinion about a particularly topic, yet you aren't necessarily debating with experts of basketball or even people who entirely objective about certain topics, one posters in the Lakers thread brought LeBron's failures or inadequacy, when talking about Lakers and Kobe Bryant. In reality, you haven't said anything as far-fetched as some of on-air TV commentators have said, like Charles Barkley; Jalen Rose; Tim Legler; Bill Walton and few others (not limited to ex players), they've said things that are completely mind-boggling about their own sport. With Roy, I do think his superstar days are pretty much limited, but he can still contribute as a bench option or a starter who is breaking time with another guard at about 23 to 25 minutes a piece. For the same price, I would still rather have Brandon Roy over Ryan Bowen, who has been completely useless for most of his career, even with the injuries, you know you are going to get something out of Roy at some point.
Great performance by Roy today.....especially when most ppl out there thought his career was done....However, I would still not take a chance on him bc of the lack of cartilages in his knees......today's performance brought back alot of great moemories of how B Roy used to play against us in the playoffs a few yrs back..... Would have been a very nice team if they had Oden, Aldridge, and Roy injury free....
The dude can still take over a game whenever he wants. Period. That performance today impressed the absolute **** out of me. His contract, however, is not so impressive...
