hmm looks like d'antoni has all the forwards collapse in the paint to compensate for their small size and give them a better chance on the boards but it leaves open shots on the perimeter
what a disappointing game 3 melo isn't on that superstar level to duplicate a similar type of performance. any other legit superstar would have embraced the MSG stage and produce an epic performance.
Knicks just don't have enough talent on the floor. No chance to win tonight. At some point a Celtics 12-point lead was going to 20 instead of being cut to 5. This is what would have happened in game 2 if Melo hadn't blown up.
doc had a good defensive strategy form the start. pretty much trap and rotate the entire defense on the only legit scorer on the team, take away his drive towards the basket, and force him to shoot tough jumpers all day. in the off season, the knicks need to go after a pass first point guard, get rid of those d leaguers, and get some big bodys in the paint.
We can officially begin to talk about the Heat-Celtics series. Should be a good one. If O'neal can continue to be a big factor down low the Celtics can win it, looks like they have their confidence back and should be a fun series since the Heat will be the bad guys.
