Wish we had an outspoken franchise player who'd speak up about BS like this. If we did we'd probably let him walk though. Nobody holds anybody accountable for anything in this organization. Blows my mind Kris Brown isn't still kicking. I guess I can look forward to Slaton averaging 4yds on kick returns again, that'll hold me through.

Why go in a different direction? Didn't McNair say we were "on the right track"?

    Apparently not.

Leach is one of my favorite players so I'm going to play the wait and see game on this one. The report says the Texans aren't likely to make him the highest paid FB in the NFL but there's still a chance the two can meet a common ground once they are able to negotiate. Every team would love to have Leach but the list of suitors will be limited to who wants to pay a fullback 3-4 million per year, even though he will earn every single dollar of that contract.

I love Leach and his hard nosed style of play that epitomizes what a fullback/football player should be so I'm going to hold on to that small sliver of hope he'll return until its officially over, even though its about as likely as Yao Ming playing more games in a season than the NFL does in this upcoming locked out one.

It's beyond pathetic at this point. Does anyone know what the Hell they're doing over there? I'm at a complete loss for what this team is trying to accomplish.

Who's fault is it, Ownership, GM? It's time to win and these bozos don't seem capable of making it happen.

I love my Texans, but if the LEECH isnt back next season then I will beat my fathers old ass until he releases our season tickets back into the mire. I will not see any more money fill the pockets of that METHODIST OWNER we have.

You know what's even more f***ed up about this?

Vonta is one of the longest tenured Texans we have... on a team that isn't exactly brimming with elder statesmen and veteran presences.

    Andre Johnson - 9 years
    Mario Williams - 5 years
    Eric Winston - 5 years
    Owen Daniels - 5 years
    David Anderson - 5 years
    Demeco Ryans - 5 years
    Vonta Leech - 5 years

    I just don't get this.

    At. All.

Leach is not worth the money. Is Leach really on the field for more than the plays anyway?

On second thought, I think this flaming may be a little premature.

I think Vonta is jumping to conclusions in his tweets. The team is not negotiating with anybody right now with the labor situation. I don't think that means he's a goner for sure.

But if it does happen...man. That will officially put Bob Mcnair on my **** list.

i think it's a lot of posturing, personally.

I doubt the texans want to make him the highest paid, but bumping him up to $3-3.5...maybe 3.75 mill would seem reasonable. If he demands more than that than i would think that he may have taken too many hits.

yeah, way to early to bust out the pitch forks and torches. Some people just like whatever excuse to go on a tirade.

All of this nonsense is worthless until the NFL and players union works out a deal

    Leach:

Heard these stories. Do you expect to play for Houston again?

I want to play for them again but Houston has to want me. Keep it like that.

McClain: Why do you think that? They told me they'll talk to your agent after lockout.

Got holes on D. They want to throw more. They didnt contact me. Tell tale sign.

Had great year and Pro Bowl year. You feel you need to be paid as top FB?

Not necessarily. I want market value for FBs. [Reeled off the money and years of about 4 other FBs, Vonta clearly did his homework, ha] Look at FBs in PHI, and ATL. I feel I should be up there.

    Someone has done their homework.

    Oh yeah.

What are you doing to stay in shape?

Wake up early, doing cardio, working out, and playing basketball. Doing my same training program as every year.

You said you dont think they want you is because they're throwing or want to throw the ball more. They did have the leading rusher.

Thats what we said also but I dont know. I want to be a Texan but Texans have to want me.

Maybe they'll have to throw more if they dont re-sign you.

    Vonta (laughing)

Many characterize you as a guy who doesnt get much touches. Clearly your role is as blocking back invaluable. Do you feel that works against you?

Reason I dont catch a lot is #1,2 options are always open. When ball does come my way, I always catch it.

    ...

Do you feel your teammates, FO dont feel you are a necessity in the offense? Do they understand?

They text me and stuff. A lot of people that know football know how important I am to the team. They know I open the holes or sell the run on PA.

You feel like you play important role off the field?

Im a vocal guy in the lockerroom. Can talk to anyone.

Discussing a few minutes ago, a possible fracture in the players that there might be spliture group forming. Thoughts on the unity of the players in this work stoppage? Optimistic?

I feel there are no guys will be breaking off. Standing strong as one voice, one team. No names have surfaced in those reports.

With Wade coming in and with his track record, you see that they hired proven DC, and of course you know the O, what are you expecting?

Capable of winning the whole thing. Couple pieces away from playoffs and winning the whole thing. That was Kubiak's goal when he came here.

If I had to ask you, will you be a Houston Texan, answer?

    I want to be.

We hope you are. Good luck.

    Appreciate it. Thanks

McClain: They'll make him an offer though dont know what it'll be.

Wow. It sounds as if he's completely checked out already.. Pathetic how the Texans treat their few valuable players, yet hang on so loyalty to their worthless garbage players..
