KG put up 24 and 15 doing the playoffs that year I dont think a 2nd fiddle could put up those type of numbers.

don't forget the assists steals and blocks that dirk doesn't get.

when in sota kg became the first player in the nba since larry bird to average 20+ 10+ and 5+ for at least 6 consecutive years. funny since dirk fans always compare him to bird.

he also lead the league in rebounds like 4 times. all of his rebounds, blocks, and steals added up to defensive team honors. can you imagine dirk leading the league in rebounding at least once? or making an all defensive team at least once in his career? or winning dpoy not just mvp? it would never happen. how about the fact that kg has a ring and dirk will probably never have the toughness to lead his team to a championship?

don't let anyone convince you that a soft, no defense, no contact big man is better than kg. even if kg did become the biggest a-hole in the game.

He can put all the stats he want, I watched KG in the playoffs and I can tell you dirk steps his game more than KG. Yes Dirk has chocked, but his playoff PER is close to 25 kg is closer to 23.

so your whole argument is based on a playoff PER difference of less than 2?

kg has had greater playoff success and put up better numbers for his career. he has earned more accolades and awards in his career.

i'll admit that dirk has a slightly better playoff PER, and that he might be slightly better playoff performer, but that doesn't change the fact that kg has the better career numbers and has accomplished more in his career.

blindly and cant hear you is an odd metaphor to use....The evidence you give is okay...Nothing substantial to change my mind....My arguments about Dwight isnt designed to convince or convert anyone...Im jut a realist and hate when folks have negative sterotypes because of "eras"... Such as when you see top ten shows on TV.....The top 5 is always somebody from the 1930's-1970's because they started the movements...I respect all pioneers and iniators but in discussions about who's the best , I dont handicap a great person because he played behind the person/era...That is all mane!!!.....I'll bring up some more **** in the future just to ruffle some feathers!!!

A realist means you are realistic. You aren't being realistic, you are subjectively assuming Dwight will be a top 3 center of all time without any supporting facts.

There are things on here I disagree with, but it's about ten thousand percent better than the OP...

Claiming Howard will ever, ever, ever, ever be a top 5 center is one of the most foolish statements I've heard on this board, ever. And I've been here for 9 years. Howard will never contribute on both ends like Wilt, Kareem, Hakeem and Shaq, and he'll never be Bill on defense. Period. End. Seriously.

Kidd over Stockton and ranking Ray Allen top 5 are certainly cringe-worthy positions as well.
