Anyone planning on watching this? The premise looks interesting, and I like the fact that they completely skip the stupid "I'm gonna get on national TV by acting like a fool" auditions. Also, I'm a huge fan of all four coaches. Oh, and I love the idea of blind auditions.

I thought this was in reference to "Man on Fire." Now I'm disappointed.

Too bad Christina is about 30 pounds heavier on the show than she is in this picture. She's got more curves, which is nice, but I swear she's starting to get a double chin. I wouldn't push her out of bed, though, that's for sure.

The makeup is definitely the biggest drawback of her in my opinion. I hate it when women put it on real think. I'm not the biggest fan of blondes either. I'd still hit though. ;)

Did anybody else think this was about Ted Williams? What has he been up to anyway?

I believe she recently said she wasnt going to try an be thin and fit anymore...instead she was just going to be how she wanted/felt...something like that.

I saw the preview of the show last night on NBC...kind of interesting to see all 4 singing "Crazy"..i wonder if they're going to perform more songs on the show or not?

I'll be watching. I'm very interested in the premise. I like the idea of blind auditions and the singers choosing their coaches.

I've always said shows that want to compete with American Idol can't try to be copies of American Idol. They have to set themselves apart. I think The Voice has done that by bringing in legitimate A-List musical artists.

The only thing I don't look forward to is the inevitable Susan Boyle-type audition they get within the first two or three shows. It was cool when that happened that someone who looked like her could sing like that, but now we can all see it coming from a mile away, especially when such a big deal is made out of blind auditions.

I don't know the country singers music, so can't comment.

Christina Aguilera, while her music isn't my thing, we all know the voice is legit. If I'm not mistaken Rolling Stone placed her #58 on the Greatest Singers of All Time.
That list had some big time names.

Adam Levine, his band takes a lot of crap, but another solid vocal.

all judges have the cred to do it

i'm hoping it's good.. but based on the preview last night, i'm worried about how much the show might be edited

The talent shows was on their downfall in the Netherlands, but for some reason the voice of Holland was really popular similar to the start of idols. I do not know why, but for some reason this show is the reason talent shows are popular again in the Netherlands.

Also it is good when a show developed in the Netherlands becomes popular in other parts of the world, although I would not mind if the shows were a bit better.

This is from the same guy who made Big brother (John de Mol)

I will be watching -- I predict Adam Levine will be the standout of this show.

Broadcast TV can't make any high-rated fictional programming with the decency standards in place now, so cheap crap with the implied suspense of reality is what you get.

Look at those pointy knees and cellulites and stretch-marks in her legs. Would not hit -if she wasn't Cristina Aguilera.-

All those criticisms starting in the mid 90's about network TV shows with their formulaic scripts and canned dialogue. Who'da thought that'd been the last remnants of the "Golden Age" of TV?

I know a show like Two and a Half Men isnt good. At least its TRIES to develop and create an actual production. But while that show is lacking, I just don't have ANY INTEREST at ALL in the normal person on the verge of discovery's daily preparation routines on film. I can't tell the difference between behind the scenes footage that just goes through the motions and actual shows now.

Don't get me started. People would rather read blogs than literature, listen to individuals sing songs created by others rather than individuals who can actually write their own songs, and watch non-actors try to act (only on TV, though- there are still great movies being produced). But hopefully the pendulum will swing back.
