without going through all the FBs salary, i'd imagine making him a top paid one wouldnt be too much of a hit.
It looks like $3mil per would make Vonta the highest paid. I'm sure they're trying to decide whether resigning Daniels will be more valuable to the offense than Vonta. Our passing definitely took a step back without OD but our run was great with Vonta. I'm not sure if I'd rather have: Vonta (FB) and Dreeson/Casey/Graham/Hill (TE) or Casey (FB) and Daniels/Graham/Hill (TE)
I don't know what to think about that. OD was huge for us when healthy....but Vonta was a freight train clearing the holes for our running game.
Even the Texans aren't dumb enough to let Vonta walk over what will amount to chump change, right?? RIGHT??? Guys???
I guess its true @RobertMathis98 I'm not in the future plans 6 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone in reply to RobertMathis98 @Elmer_A_Quint i want my market value 7 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone in reply to Elmer_A_Quint To my teammates keep working hard y'all will get things turned around, to the fans the best fans and deserve a winning franchise 10 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone I played in the league long enough to know when writing is on the wall If i played my last game as a Texan I enjoyed my 5 years 14 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone Me nor my agent have spoke with them since my agent met with Chris Olsen at combine (they talk to all agents at combine) continued 16 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone First I want to address my contract situation I would love to staysl with the Texans, but front office wants to go in a different continued http://twitter.com/vleach44
I've been trying to come up with valid/logical reasons for this move and I really can't. Vonta was a HUGE reason AF lead the league in rushing and put the Texans in elite statistical class. This guy is very important and putting that type of responsibility on Casey and/or a rookie is just horrible.
Keep Kubiak. check Get rid of Leach. check Next up: test effect of sticking wire hanger in electric socket These guys are morons. Seriously, they make it very difficult to root for this organization.
So the Texans go balls to the wall with a PR campaign to get this great player into the Pro Bowl, then they just let him walk??
I'm just.... stunned. They've made some leaps of faith and questionable decisions at the time before. But I can't explain or reason this, at all.
They've almost lost me. I'll still root for them and follow them on TV but I can't get deeply emotionally invested into a team that does everything to be so dam mediocre while making such a huge profit. Even during the Uncle D years(2006-2010), the Stros ultimate goal was to win at a high level just couldn't see the best course of action to get there. The Rockets refuse to strive for mediocrity and are willing to sacrifice a great deal to be great. The Texans seem happy to be mediocre and could care less about winning big, instead just enough.
I can't believe this. I can't believe it. 31 other teams in the league will be lining up to sign Vonta. Go in a different direction? What the hell does that mean?
