He's on right now. I couldn't listen to much because I'm on a conference call but MattJ was asking him about Lowry and his potential of being a star in this league. Hopefully the podcast should be up soon.
http://www.sports790.com/cc-common/podcast/single_page.html?podcast=MattAdam Podcast on. Morey says his favorites are Kyle, Patterson and Martin because they have upside.
If Martin has upside...well that's pretty scary. I don't really see it though. He's already a top 5 scorer in the league. Kyle could solidify himself as top 10 PG in the league if he plays a full season like he finished this season.
Maybe he's thinking Martin's upside is defensively. He did show some improvement toward the end of the season. I find it interesting that he didn't mention Williams as a favorite with upside (based on CH's post).
Um no he isnt. Off top of my head Kobe, LeBron, Durant, Rose, Melo, Wade are better scorers then him. Top 10 maybe but no way is he a top 5 scorer.
2010-2011 Season- Lowry- Talent average-- good on a non playoff team. Just look at his stats and rankings. Possibly he may improve next season, as will many of the team!
I find it interesting that Scola is not in that group. I also find it interesting that I agree with him on the top 3.
Are you looking at just point totals and ignoring efficiency stats such as true shooting percentage and points per minutes played? That's a little too simplistic for me. He finished second in the league in points per minutes played. Of the guys you mentioned he scored with higher efficiency than any of them. To me that makes him a better scorer than most of the players you mentioned.
As it should be before their value goes down, they no longer have value and do not contribute to a championship. Seems pretty obvious... How dare the Rockets not keep Ryan Bowen and give him a lifetime contract. Now that would have been stability. What? You mean the Rockets actually traded Joey Dorsey? How could they?!! And getting rid of Aaron Brooks while he still had value for what appears to be a pretty good back up point guard and a 1st round pick? What a horrible move!! It sure sucks that the we as Rockets fans have to actually watch Kevin Martin try to score points! Sheesh
