Everyone should get a message when they join that says "Thadeus isn't required to treat people with any level of respect. It's his running joke. We all think it's funny!"

Well said -- saying something wrong over and over doesn't make it true ... or right.

Yeah, it was funny all 5,239 times. He's even more predictable than a smiley in a Swoly post, and getting up there in levels of annoyance.

I am okay with people thinking Bush is an idiot for how he acts and what he does. I would not be cool if people said he was an idiot because he was a southern white American.

I agree, too many people are disgusted with the president because of his race and like to argue that their views are political when in fact it boils there blood a man of color is in the highest political position on earth.

He isn't free from fault. But fault him on something real not because he he secretly has a passport from Kenya locked away in his oval office safe.

Except Biden was elected and besides any other ticket McCain and Palin's were the next most likely to win. Yet I have not seen you raise any disbelief or a show me the money challenge regarding their birth.

Also lets not forget questioning Obama's birth and also racially tinged criticism of him was being made well before he was inaugurated.

I am beginning to lose patience. Read my statement. Did I not say that all presidential and vice presidential candidates should be subjected to identical scrutiny? You and several others desperately want me in the birther camp. Why I don't know. For the umpteenth time, I am in neither camp because neither has sufficient evidence to prove their belief.

I believe in God. There are people, even here on this board, that don't believe in God. There are some that proclaim agnostism -- citing they don't know one way or the other. Because they don't believe one way or the other, should I hector them until they decide? This is precisely what you, and others, are doing. The issue in and of itself doesn't matter. If you are so desperate to persuade me, show me the money.

Because your lack of acceptance of the evidence provided does show that you are actually closer to the birther camp than you admit. I will agree this isn't an issue that you are strident about or probably care that much about. That said I am curious then why you bring this issue of scrutiny regarding a candidate's birth up only in regard to Obama.

Except that we are not talking about a religious topic as there is legal documentation of Obama's birth according to Hawaii law. Your show me the money argument shows that you are not agnostic on this issue as you say but actually doubt the veracity of evidence already shown. While you I will take you at your word you don't think the issue really matters except that you are continuing to demand further proof otherwise why even bring up your "show me the money" point if this wasn't an issue to you.

As far as hectoring why bother posting in the thread if it is an issue you don't care for and don't want to discuss?

    Wow. You missed that?

I don't know where anyone can get off saying Obama has been treated worse than Bush. Secondly, I don't see why it matters. In the end, who cares how Bush was treated? When we're all hating some future president we'll forget how much we hated Bush and Obama.

That's politics; we don't unite over change, we unite over social fashion. We don't look at the map and discuss where to go next; we try to prove why our opposition is worse than us. Read any D&D thread.. every discussion degenerates into "why should [political party A] embrace higher standards when [political party B] did [some purported past trangression]". Wee. "Progress". Yeah.

In my experience even the most trumped-up political discussions between any two Americans on the internet are only double-standards and would-be material for Stephen Colbert.

I didn't even know "birthers" was a term. It's pretty stupid. Those are the types that have a Rush Limbaugh cut-out on their fridge anyways. That's why I rarely discuss. I have no interest in getting derailed by a dozen sidebar debates and having my mother insulted. Instead I'll just enjoy lurking and making pot shot posts like this one.

If you are so adamant that you are right, produce a birth certificate, not a birth identification. As I have stated to people who are in the opposite camp, prove that he wasn't. Neither side can provide solid evidence.

As I have repeatedly stated, in simple English that apparently you cannot grasp, the issue is irrevelevant because Obama is the elected President. I love to argue but not when the opposition ignores the argument to continually re-frame the statements. I don't mind you trying to twist my words but not fracturing them with gross distortions.

Considering your zealous attitude toward the issue, this is a religious issue for you with Obama serving as your God. Where is your proof that he has walked on water or changed water into wine? Are there any Biblical or Koranean references to him as there are for Jesus? I can see that you lean toward Obama's deification.

$150/month for a gym in Texas is a scam. It's not like it's overlooking a gorgeous beach with women from Eastern Europe parading around in heels and bikini's.

I don't care if you're getting blowjobs from personal trainers who look like my ex's, that is an unnecessary price to pay. You get your ass in a gym that charges normal prices and do what makes you sweat for about 55 minutes, then hit the sauna. I mean a $150 these guys are probably on the gym's payroll to keep people inside and signing up for **** they don't plan on.

The gym is what you thought it would be. Don't make it to be all special and private.

I tell them it may be true, but that is not the road to go down. . .Focus on what is right, such as no more free from taxpayers, and fiscal responsibility with less big government proven inefficiency...Obama is doing nothing much but facebook and talking about let him finish and being taped stating he hates compromise and such...Attack the enemy, I mean political opposition at his weakness...

Why is it wrong to investigate Obama's birth? If you think he's bad for the country and want to get him out of office, by all means, investigate away. Even if there is only a 1 in 1000 chance it's true, go for it.

Lying or making stuff up is another matter.

The media searched under every rock for evidence that Bush was AWOL during Vietnam, even broadcasting fabricated memos. Yet with Obama's birth there is zero curiosity, it's beyond reproach to investigate. What a joke.

I think it's virtually certain he was born in Hawaii, but there's nothing wrong with trying to find out if he meets the legal requirements for the office. That's a far cry from the personal dirt most politicians are investigated for.

I suppose time travelling Muslim agents went back in time to plant this newspaper article.

    DAMN YOU, SCOTT BAKULA!!

Birthers are nuts, but it's a good test to spot out the dimwits and mouth breathers who think they're bringing out reasonable arguments. The powers that be knew he was going to be President one day.... Because they wanted him to ruin the United States! It's only obvious since I don't agree with his views and he's not an American!
