Is it? Thats a pretty bold statement to say a president lied to get us in a war, especially considering there is absolutely no basis behind that claim. That ranks up there with blaming Bush for 9/11. At least the birthers have a reason behind their basis. You are right, they are completely different. And by your definition, we should throw Obama in jail too. He authorized the bombing on a country that posed no threat to the US, resulting in many deaths.
I don't think there is anything to be done. If they're talking to you, say something to indicate displeasure. If they're talking to each other, ignore it. But, don't bother engaging them; that's not a forum where reasoned debate can survive. I agree with this. A position on this subject is political, whether it is right or wrong. Other criticisms of Bush, impugning his intelligence, comparing him to a monkey, dismissing him as a coke-head, saying he hates black people, and so on -- those don't really have the same merit. And, I do see a similarity between the mindless dismissal of Obama by some conservatives now and the mindless dismissal of Bush by liberals then. It seems a little more vicious now because it has so much racism mixed in.

no they dont. he didnt lie about the reasons for bombing that country though, unlike bush who lied about the reasons for invading iraq. there is a problem with presidents not seeking a declaration of war before invading/bombing other countries, but that has been standard practice for quite awhile now. junior never got a declaration of war. reagan never sought a declaration of war for all his little ventures in latin america. but i do agree that he should be thrown in jail or at least impeached for violating his oath of office and the constitution by continuing the bush-era policies of warrantless wiretapping, indefinite detention and upholding torture. but bush, cheney, rumsfeld, gonzles and yoo should all be put on trial for war crimes and held accountable for what they did.
