I think Adelman is somewhat at fault for the divorce because he was not on board with the team's larger goals of being a contender in the long-term and not just a playoff team in the short-term. His interests (winning in the last year of his contract) were not aligned with the team's and they should have been. But, he probably would have been more on-board with the team's interests if he had an extension already at the beginning of the year. So, I think some blame for Adelman's behavior rests at Les' and Morey's feet. It'd probably have been better to can him last offseason than have him coach a lame-duck season.
TMac? Soooooo...Because of McGrady's back, the Rockets management has the #8 pick in a deep draft. Rockets management comes back from said Lottery with a Pot Of Glue...gambling on Grady's back and that Yao Ming's feet will fare better than Eaton, Ilgauskas and other "giants".... And we're only going to think about Grady? You can. I'm looking at a bigger picture.
T-mac's attitude and lack of testicular fortitude left this team high and dry plenty of times. Not saying he deserves all the blame but his lack of leadership and mid year "conditioning" didn't help. We had Yao, Artest and He chose to slack off during rehab. Fan****ing tasic!
No one, this team is just what it is, needs a superstar badly, but hard to get one. At least, Morey is trying, but maybe it is the time to blame TMac and Yao again.
I don't get the outrage. They'll find another top-notch coach. I'm more worried about getting an above-average big somehow..
