Not to derail the thread but your suggestion that we're in some sort of conventional rebuilding mode is strictly your opinion and nothing more. If anything, we're rebuilding on the fly. Winning games will still be the goal of this organization.

I don't consider this solid reasoning for not bringing Adelman back. If he has 2-3 years left, do I think we'll be championship-level within that time-frame? Most likely not. But I also don't believe whatever new coach we bring in necessarily has to be here for the long-haul.

LOL. Of course it's just my opinion. Was that ever in question?

Is it 100% lock solid reasoning? Or for that matter, was it the only reason? No, but I understand the thinking.

Well, it seemed like the key point of your argument was this "full on rebuilding mode" point that you argued. Given that you can't make that argument with any degree of proof or evidence, you shouldn't be surprised if somebody takes issue with you speaking as if something like that is a fact (hence the "that's just your opinion" comment).

I'm not condemning the "Let Adelman go" crowd. I just think there are better ways to argue your case than that.

It's pretty much a given that it is an opinion. Which is why it's funny that you bother taking issue with it. Kind of a captain obvious moment.

If you know of better reasons for dismissing Rick, please share with the class.

Cool it with the hyperbole and sarcasm.

I get it: you don't like it that I questioned your logic. I wasn't trying to call you out, I was just taking issue with a statement you dressed up as a fact. Nothing more. No need to crack out the Google image searches and respond with sarcasm. Your argument has a hole, I merely made a comment about the hole. You've been around here long enough to know how this works.

And I'll save ya the trouble: "It's a message board. Anything I say here is opinion. Duh. What were you thinking?". ;)

    LOL. That's a good one.

I actually was hoping that you knew something, because you said it with such conviction - "I applaud Les for taking it on the chin here and doing the less popular thing in favor of looking towards the future."

You need to know something about what they are doing, and agree with/approve that, before you can applaud on some action.

I disapprove of the decision, but at the same time I think we need to see how this plays out before throwing Morey under the bus.

I think we could all agree that Morey has made questionable moves, but a good number of them have come back with good results. Sure, he has made mistakes, but as far as I can tell he has compensated for every one of them.

I'll give Morey the benefit of the doubt, he earned it. If this is a mistake, I trust he will make the right choice and compensate for it like always. If this was the right move, then we're moving in the right direction.

One of the reasons I hate this is the fear that Adelman will go to one of my hated contenders (Lakers or Heat) next season and help them win a championship.

It's like seeing your gf hooking up with Charlie Sheen and keep having to watch her on TV with that douchebag.

I don't think "rebuilding" will take as long as everyone thinks. We already have a good backcourt. Scola has trade value and Patterson looks like a future all-star. Obviously we need a replacement at SF for Bud and a legit 7' center, but I think that if we can find a good center who can clog the lane and help improve the defense then we would be really close. I'm not sure if we would win the championship, but I think we would certainly be in the conversation and have a good chance to make a lot of noise in the playoffs. Also, the next HC needs to bring a defensive mindset to the team. I would really like to see SVG (if he is available), and Elston Turner, Mike Budenholzer, and Laurence Frank should all be considered. I wouldn't mind any of those guys either. Just please no Mike Brown!!!

I didn't get this vibe and I don't like Barry at all. I thought he aske the toughest question and had the snarkiest comment. " With this roster how can red auerbach or anyone coach this team?"

Asking Morey about if the Boy Genius honeymoon is over?

What does a fan's label have anything to do with Morey himself? He never asked people to call him that!

Morey just said that this team needs a change. It's true that teams get too caught up in salvaging a team that needs to rebuild.
