Just wondering. If I photoshopped a face pic of him onto a picture of the head of a snake in the weeds, would that be racist?

I didn't know you were a certified mind reader who can explore people's inner thoughts and motivation from hundreds of miles away

One doesn't have to be Miss Cleo to figure out the motive behind posting that image of the President.

It only takes common sense, and mild knowledge of the the over 100 years of portraying black people as apes, monkeys and chimps to realize what was going on here.

This post from Juan Valdez sums it up nicely.
I would think one would have to be less intelligent than a chimp to not see what was intended in the Obama graphic.

What don't you give us a list of "racially acceptable" animals that can be used to imply questionable intelligence.

was the image about Obama's "questionable intelligence" or about Obama's birth place?

highly highly doubt the reaction would be anywhere NEAR the same with any other animal. snake? not racist. dog? not racist. horse? not racist. any other animal i can think of at the moment? not racist.

people cannot be that dense. no one here is calling this racism without justification. plain and simply, black people used to be referred to as apes/monkeys/chimps, to signify that they were less than human. accept that this brainless idiot sent a racist email and now must pay the consequences.

    how do you know? psychic?

Edit, ok I saw your answer to this obvious question

And I just have a few statements about it.

You are acting like it is solely racist. I doubt this lady emailed a similar picture for Michael Steele so I bet it is not.

I would say a central factor of criticism was Bush's policy, not his intelligence. Obama has never released his undergrad transcripts so lets not talk about grades.

Also not sure why this is news along the lines of this thinking:
And the fact that this lady was 74 years old. She probably learned last week that it is no longer OK to say Negro.

Which brings me to the point of:
Why are these such massive stories. This just in: racist people still exist. This does not make criticism of Obama any less valid.

I see it used as an argument for that though.
    A - criticism is racist,
    B - racism is bad
    therefore
    c - criticism is invalid

when really all it means is that there is a 74 year old woman who has no idea about how the world is changed.

So what you're telling me is that you and others like you are still associating black people with primates?

This thread would have been created anyway even if the photoshop in question used dogs. D&D sure is more hyper sensitive and righteous about this stuff than other topics, can you imagine if our resident Islamaphobe spammed threads about black people instead? He'd be gone in a day.

I like how people are feigning ignorance of connotations

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN CALLING A BLACK MAN A 'MONKEY' IS RACIST? I NEVER HEARD SUCH A THING"
