Dude has all the physical tools, if he gets the post moves improved with better footwork, watch out!

So that's why he tweeted Kyle Lowry if he was going to be in Houston all summer.

I hope he is a Rocket soon enough! :)

It's not going to help his game much, just like it didn't help Yao's game any. Good publicity for the summer before free agency though.

Welcome home, DJ. Think how much better it'll be to play for the hometown team than for Sterling.

He doesn't have the skills to use those Olajuwon moves. Athleticism? Sure. Footwork, hands, touch, agility- nah. Hell nah.

A HOF player like himself knows talent when he sees it. Hasheem obviously doesn't have what it takes.

Maybe because they wanted his help. I dont know about you, but when i want something i ask for it. We dont know if Hasheem ever asked for dream help

    You never know.

Yao and DeAndre are completely different types of centers.

DeAndre has great athleticism therefore working on his skillset downlow will improve his game substantially.

how do you figure?? you dont know what yao took from hakeems tutelage. unless you thought that by yao training with dream that meant yao was gonna be the next dream. yao used what dream taught him and integrated it into his own game.. yao was never gonna have the speed, athleticism, and footwork of olajuwon.. yao definitely used some of dreams moves in his own post game..

If we don't get him to come to Houston after this, that's bull*****.

Because Yao said it himself. It was something along the lines of, "Hakeem's a great player, but his game and mine are completely different." Yao can't do the same moves that Dream can because he lacks the quickness, as you said. The biggest takeaway Yao may have gotten would be about the right mentality, but even then they only worked together for a couple hours. Yao was using Hakeem moves before he ever worked for him. Hakeem had no impact on developing Yao's low post game. It made for a great photo op though.

I'd say Dikembe helped developed Yao's game a lot more than Hakeem simply by going against him in practice everyday.

watch out for what???....better spin moves to get better position for lob passes??....Better footwork wont help if he doesnt have any sort of jumpshot....But his we can attribute his footwork on dunks to Olajuwon now:grin:

I definitely would love for him to be a Rocket, but I dunno if he would be worth it for 9-10 mil a season...
