You're right. Let's visit the list of Morey's failures:
    He failed to keep Rick
He failed to keep Aaron Brooks
He failed to sign Bosh, Wade or even LeBron
He failed to make Yao's ankle indestructible
He failed to turn Ariza into the superstar we all know he is
He failed to get McGrady a heart transplant
He failed to get Bonzi Wells in shape
    and worst of all:
He failed to get Stromile Swift to become the superstar he is today
    ...

At the end of the day, firing Rick isn't the right move... but, to say that Morey only makes wrong moves is stupid. This team will survive because of Morey, not in spite of him. We've been unlucky, and now we have to live with what we have.

Now we have two goals for the offseason: try and get the best draft pick possible and somehow someway beg baby Jesus for Dwight Howard to wear Rocket's red. That is pretty much all that can be done. I don't see how having Adelman improves our odds in either of those cases...

How much did Morey pay you, sir? Since we all we need is luck, why do we even need Morey as our GM? Why not just a random guy like you?

Tough to see Adelman exit. But Morey has proven time and time over that he does know talent.

    Good luck Adelman.

Though as a Rocket fan it's going to be a long ride if this group doesn't mix well with whomever the new coach is. It is a good group, but the lack of defense is a big concern.

    Lowry / Drogic
    Martin / Lee
    Budinger / T-Will
    Scola / Patterson / Hill
    Hayes / Thabeet / Yao

Thabeet, T-Will, and Hill should be the most happy of this event. As they were having a hard time getting on the court.

For all I care, Jerry Sloan is a great substitute.

Well, some morons will say no 'cause he beat us twice during Hakeem time.

Because luck rewards the prepared. Morey is far more prepared than I am... Look, I don't like letting go of a hall of fame coach, especially a guy that I think seems down to earth and nice, but the end goal is to win. We need change. If I knew the best way to do it, then I'd apply for Morey's job. Until then, I'll sit back and watch.

I'll say this...I like Morey and think he is a good GM HOWEVER if Adelman is being let go because he didn't produce enough then what does that say about the guy who put the team together? Where is the accountability...apparently it stopped with Rick.

I am not sure OP has a brain...the fact you can type and breathe at the same time is impressive for someone with downs syndrome.

I like that you put understands in quotations.

Also please elaborate on your Morey-as-Wall Street theory.

Look at his rep level. The guy makes a lot of good posts. Even if you don't agree, you have to admit your original post's logic is heavily flawed...

Anybody has any idea about his statistical theory on basketball management? One professor in my school has been playing around that kind of number game, but he simply doesn't have enough data, i.e. total games played in NBA history, types of players and number of players, to back a theory up.

Sloan never won a championship. Personally, I don't think it is because of lack of talent or lack of coaching ability, I think that it is due to bad karma. The guy is a dirty coach. He constantly keeps his group of thugs to go out there to attempt to injure opposing players. And the flopping, omg the flopping. I believe strongly in karma which is why I do not want us to go anywhere near Jerry Sloan.

There was one game that made me change my mind a little about Sloan.. When Kirk Snyder played for them he was launching racial slurs over to the Houston bench. Riling up the bench. Sloan got pissed and benched him and I believed he even apoligized for Snyders behavior. at least that's the way I remembered it.

At this point.. Sloans as close as we're going to get to RA caliber coach. It's not like our players don't flop already. hahah if that's what we're worried about. Who's coaching the Trailblazers? Should have worked out a trade. :) That guy also get's the best out of what he has to work with. Even moreso than Rick.
