I always chuckle at DC characters . . .their inate vagueness makes them unbeatable. The Flash . . . he taps into the SPEED FORCE . . .THE SPEED FORCE??? How strong is Superman . . VERY STRONG . . .STRONGER THAN THAT . . FRICKING STRONG . . . Superman is strong as the story needs him to be. . . Flash is as fast as the story needs him to be . . .Batman is as smart as the story needs him to be. . . I could never get into DC because. . their characters had no limitations really and were wildly inconsistant. . . So in this battle . . .probably DC because Superman will some previously unknown power or immunity based on his alien physiology. Flash will speed back in time to intercept the aliens on their own home planet . . . . . Rocket River

Mythical things, he doesn't like em, doesn't get em. BUT atleast there is some background supporting him, he spent his adolescence up to is late 20's learning these things with a crazy drive, and he had the riches to learn from the best, and to be fair, the supercomputer does most of the hard stuff. Like you said though, Reed Richards is just a silly character. "Most powerful creature in the galaxy about to destroy the world...I know just the device to build! A Nullifier" "what does it do?" You guys overrate the Flash a lot. The argument comes down to Superman/Wonder Woman/Green Lantern/Martian vs. Hulk/Thor/Captain America Personally I think captain america could probably take on wonder woman while the other two faced the rest of the JLA.
Cap's Shield is interesting properties. Basically the it is indestructable and the vibranium in allows it to absorb all the impact of wonder woman's punches. He is a peak human. Captain American could beat Batman in a straight up fist fight Rocket River
Cap is the best a human can possibly be, wonderwoman is a demi-god who can punch hard enough to knock superman out of the air. She can rip tanks in half and you think captain America can get heads up with her??
Generally, I'd say that this is no contest and the JLA would win with relative ease. But....I'm more familiar with Thor from Norse mythology than I am with Thor from the Marvel universe. He's still an actual deity, though, which gives me pause, as opposed to a mortal alien being like Superman. Like I said, I don't know as much about Marvel Thor, but he's an actual god, as opposed to just god-like. The JLA is the stronger of the two teams, but in the end, Thor might very well be the only one left standing.
Yeah. It's pretty well established that WW is second in strength in the DC universe only to Superman.

Sadly, Superman's long list of superpowers does not include super-intelligence. Possibly by "man" he meant "male human?"
