I believe this is what DM told Rick:

Adleman wasn't going to be here by the time this team was contending, it was time to part ways, better for both parties.

Rockets get to go 100% into rebuilding mode, and Adleman gets once last chance to coach a contender.

    Bad move by the Rockets.

Morey and Adleman couldn't work it out.

We'll see where this gets them in the long run but doesn't bode well for the immediate future in my opinion.

I am pretty disappointed in Morey right now.

He failed in a big way trying to get into the coaching biz (UH, Den). No thanks.

I think I almost would rather prefer Mike Brown.

Nor was Rick a big fan of Yao Ming's PT limit early last season, when the medical side was given the reins on the big fella's return.

Very true RT @teamziller: Speaking of Houston and advanced stats, I've heard Adelman wasn't gung ho about the detailed reems of data.

Remember when Al Pacino left the Miami Sharks for another team and took Jamie Foxx with him.

That's what will happen with SVG and Dwight Howard

my shock level is at 10

my shock level is at 10. i know i should have seen the warning signs, but i kept thinking that we are too smart to let go of a hall of fame coach who has over achieved with the roster he was given.

unfortunately i was wrong. les has to own this move. this is all about his inability to get along with a very likeable coach.

i hope we get a great coach...we already had one!

What a disgrace. I was happy for Goran to go to organization with great coach. I don’t think it’s magic he started playing much better in Houston than Phoenix. It starts with leadership, and Goran was becoming old Goran again under coach Adelman’s leadership. Learning to play without ball in hands so much and having benefits of great system.

Don’t get wrong, Houston has nice young talents, but I can see coach Adelman optimize talent into great result. We bring coach that analyze stat sheet all day? Good luck.

Honestly, I think this is the most likely reason he is leaving.
