    Conley, Gay and Randolph


    of course Randolph probably deserved to get paid the most out of the 3 but that extension was ridiculous...Gay getting max or near max absurd and while conley has improved quite a bit this season 9 million/year? He is going to have to have the same levels of improvement the next few season to even warrant that price tag


    not including now what they may do with mayo - the grizz FO is doing exactly what kills a lot of team - they get some fleeting success and pay good players what great players should get and cripple their team.

    i dont think they'll be able to sign chuck but i'd be more worried if they'll be able to keep their own guys after some of those contracts handed out. Namely keeping Gasol

    Can't blame them. What team wouldn't want Hayes on the roster? But, I doubt he defects.

    LOL I'd go see it... in hopes that it was like an extreme playhouse. I'd hate to know a family actually lived in it. Though it shows creativity.

    In Houston, Lowry, Battier and Hayes are starters.
    In Memphis, Lowry, Battier and Hayes were, are or will be bench players.


    Hayes wants to be a starting center. Grizzlies can not give him that.

    I'm glad that your team is finally looking good enough to possibly see the second round....but MAN are you getting overexcited.

    The new CBA may not just squelch your ability to sign an outside FA like Chuck, it may squelch your ability to retain Gasol.

    Grizzlies now have $54M in guaranteed salary next year, which isn't bad. But it means you won't have the MLE (which could be going away) and Gasol alone will represent a $5M cap hold unless you renounce his rights - no cap space for Chuck, even assuming the new CBA doesn't make it tougher to sign outside FAs (it may).

    I'd expect Morey's initial offer to Chuck will be 2 years at $4M each, option for a third....and his final offer to be closer to the $6M mark. Memphis would have to renounce Gasol to match that.

    My guess is that Gasol's market value will be somewhere in the $9M to $12M range depending on how the CBA shakes out. He's going to have suitors (Cavs, Nuggets, Rockets, Wizards, etc)
