I can't see Chuck not making the 2nd team, they'd have to put both Bogut and Chandler on there and penalize Chuck by considering him a center.

Yes, who votes for this award? Did Bill Worrell and Matt Bullard get to vote?

tony allen will get the nod over chuck

thats not to say tony allen isnt a good defender but its always a damn shame how sometimes you have these players jump out of no where all of a sudden to make the all defensive team when players known for their defense year in and year out always get snubbed.

This one was media... I remember there was somewhere you could see names of who votes... but I don't remember where it is.

I do know that Bill and Bull both said "if they had a vote" so I don't think they were the two ;)

    Interesting voting breakdown.
Voting - panel of 120 sportswriters and broadcasters (the broadcasters from every team get votes for different awards. for example a Rockets broadcaster might vote for COY, DEF POY & all-rookie while another Rockets broadcaster might vote for MVP, 6th man, etc.. )

    You vote for 1st, 2nd & 3rd best Def player. (5pts for 1st, 3 pts for 2nd, 1ot for 3rd)
    - 1 of the 120 voters did not vote for Howard at all. (114 1st, 5 2nd)
    - Kevin Garnett was listed on only 33 of 120 ballots in any spot - still finished 2nd overall)
    - Chuck was listed on only 5 ballots (2 1st, 3 3rd)
    - Chuck finished 12th overall
    - Only 5 players other than Dwight got a 1st place vote (Garnett, Grant Hill, Joakim Noah & Keith Bogans - each got one. Hayes the only player other than Dwight to get more than 1 1st place vote)
    - Bogans was listed 1st on 1 ballot - was not listed at all on any others

12th place is pretty good for a 6'6" center.

Chuck deserves a window-cornered office, with a personalized parking spot, after he retires.

Charlie Pallilo had me rolling this afternoon when he was saying whoever voted for people like Chuck, Grant Hill, or Bogans had to be borderline nuts or pathetic homers.
