So I just saw a house for sale that advertised that it had a nice tree house.

So I imagined a set of stairs and a platform. This one was nuts. It had like real adult stairs up to this one platform which was huge and then a second set of stairs to a another platform. I must have been 20-30 feet in the air. Everything was real secure. Nice railings and this metal fencing to prevent people and things from falling though.

Anyhow, how on earth would a person go about getting one of these and how much would it cost. Google didn't give me the results I wanted. I don't have any interest/time in doing it myself. I just know if it was a couple of grand I would love to get one built for my son.

Not sure how much something like that would cost but I'd make sure you get the okay from your homeowner's association before doing anything. They might consider it a 2nd dwelling in which they would probably have a fit over (happened to us a long time ago when my dad put a playground w/ tree house-like room in our backyard).

been looking into this myself for a year or two now. They can get way extravagant/expensive. I'm pseudo-handy, but don't want to bite off more than I can chew. Haven't gotten serious yet, but am serious about thinking about getting serious.

There's a lot of bad info online, and plans you can pay for and such. Still searching, myself.

As long as they don't see it, it's fine. Of course its easier to hide a shed in your background than a treehouse...

A good, creative carpenter could do this easily.

Looks a'ight. That would make my daughters cry. That's not a treehouse, that's a treemansion. It also looks like it's a house AROUND a tree, not a treehouse... but it's a good idea.

yes you are right. There isn't any real covering. But it was huge on the second level. i thought it would be tight to have a poker game up there. It has lights and power outlets etc.

It will cost about as much as a deck costs. It is just a deck with long stairs.

Yeah no doubt I live in a shorter travel time to downtown during traffic. 400 k where I live at puts you in a small mansion. Just saying meyerland isn't all that

What do you do if you want to live in a decent 4 bedroom house in the city and have it close to everything... you pay for it.
