Nugs got screwd. Oh well, still it was a great game overall, but that blown call sucks the air out of it at the end.

Man that call completely swayed the game in Thunders favor. I am still in utter disgusts, oh my god.

It does matter. If the Thunder win by 1 or 2, then the Nuggets have every right to blow up at Stern / the refs / whoever.

But like another poster said, the Nugs haven't put up the points to nullify the blown call. It IS their fault for that.

Possession do-over? Why? If Westbrook makes the bucket with no call, Denver inbounds the ball. If it's offensive goaltending, Denver inbounds the ball. They could review it and take the points off without it making any difference as far as who would've had the ball.

That was a bad, obvious call, but overall... Denver really can't ask for more balanced officiating on the road, especially considering how bad the officiating is normally for the home teams.

All it takes is one horrible call at the end of a close game though..

what if they wave that off and the thunder wouldn't score again? we're talking hypotheticals here.

point is, nuggets would have been up 1 then. you have a different mindset when you're up as compared to when you're down.

Yeah but overall the game was called correctly. It's not like there were several wtf calls against Denver and I feel the Refs for the most part stayed out of it (which is what made it a good game)

They did get screwed on that call, but there was plenty of time left after that and they were down one then so the refs didn't prevent them from winning the game.

If anything, I thought that Karl was going to fire up his team for that blown call, and then Denver would go off on OKC.

But I guess not. Well, Denver needs to bring this intensity for game 2, and hope Durant and Westbrook don't combine for 72 again.

Karl mismanaged the rotation, IMO. The Felton-Lawson backcourt doesn't fly against OKC, as their physical limitations were exposed on defense. JR Smith was playing exceptional defense down the stretch, effectively distributing the rock to Nene on the pick-and-roll, and even finished an and-one late in the 4th, yet he's pulled when the Nuggets are in desperate need of scoring. He's arguably the team's most explosive weapon on offense, yet Karl rolls with Gallo and the midgets during crunch time.

Denver is too stacked on the perimeter, bottom line. I don't even know if that's possible, but they're so f***ing deep on the wing that it ends up serving as a detriment to the squad during the Playoffs, a time when rotations are typically tightened. Karl toys with both point guards on the floor at the same time, and then sprinkles in some JR, Gallo, and Wil C as he pleases. His head's going to explode when Afflalo returns from injury...

This is going to be a fun series.

The difference between the two teams again come down to star power. I always believe that you need stars in order to win in post season, and Thunder's got two of the top fifteen players in the NBA right now.
