Yeah I wasn't sure about that inclusion. When you look at destination city, Toronto should be head and shoulders above other NBA cities. Perhaps it has to do with the thought of being in a different country?
Pretty much. The PLAYER might like Canada. If they're US born, their family and friends in the US probably arent that concerned with what Canada has to offer. So the players roots are still outside of Canada. Toronto might be "better", but you still fit in better in your home environment. Vince Carter and Chris Bosh might be A-okay living in Toronto raking in the multi-millions in a great city. Though I'm sure if Carter and Bosh were teammates in Toronto winning 55-60 games with some deep playoff runs, players would want to go there. I think the only "name" city thats a free agent destination regardless of team success is New York. There's been no reason for players to sign in New York besides the big market. The Knicks have been like the Clippers the past decade, and no one's signed with the Clippers for the LA big market. Somehow the "New York mystique" is there, don't ask me how. Everywhere else, your team better be good with some stars on it.
